Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Tenor Horn,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.589052 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David McKeown. Folk,Hanukkah,Jewish,World. Score and parts. 6 pages. David McKeown #6017117. Published by David McKeown (A0.589052). 7.40pm is a traditional Russian Jewish tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for one Trumpet and one Tenor Horn in E Flat.It isn’t completely clear where the title 7.40pm comes from. One interpretation is that 7.40pm was the time the Odessa tram conductors finished work and danced to this tune. But there are versions titled 7.40am which may refer to the time of Jewish early morning prayers. Whatever the origin, there are several Russian recordings of 7.40pm that predate the 1917 revolution.7.40pm is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. After a slow and expressively beginning, the melody switches to dance tempo.  7.40pm is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of a little over three minutes, this version of 7.40pm is perfect for recital and concert performances, both formal and informal. Choral Choir (2-Part) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.917605 Composed by Will Taylor. Concert,Patriotic. Octavo. 4 pages. Will Taylor's Music #4993471. Published by Will Taylor's Music (A0.917605). This is a setting of verses 1,3 and 4 of Laurence Binyon's famous poem written at the start of World War 1.  It is scored for solo baritone/bass or unison choir accompanied by organ or piano. I have taken a liberty with the text in verse1 to help appeal to a more international audience.  The original is; 'A mother for her children, England mourns for her dead across the sea.'  The accompaniment in the last verse incorporates the 'Last Post' bugle call.  If an organ is being used, please solo this on a subtle trumpet stop if available.  An SATB choral version of this work is also available.  .

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845169 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Classical,Romantic Period,Sacred,Standards. Score and parts. 7 pages. Phil Beaman #6293581. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.845169). Die Ehres Gottes aus der Natur (The Glory of God in Nature) was composed by the Master, L. van Beethoven. It is the fourth of the Sechs Lieder (Six Songs), published in 1803, which foreshadowed the Art Songs of the Romantic Era. Originally for Voice and Piano, I have arranged it for Instrumental Quartet. My arrangement stays true to Beethoven's intent to capture the passion of the original text in the music. (The texts are all sacred poems by Gellert.) Without the presence of lyrics I needed to create musical interest and interpretation, so I realized inner voices and polyphony out of his original homophonic accompaniment. I added new shape to individual lines, altered phrasing, elaborated rhythms, and in true Beethoven style added more dynamic markings. The mood and meaning are now stunningly portrayed through music alone. Die Ehres Gottes is full of joyous majesty and wonder. It has been made into a popular anthem and hymn under the title The Heavens Are Telling.
