All of these original compositions are of sufficient length to meet the requirements of solo & ensemble contests and festivals.

Each piece in the series has been arranged for and can be performed by any combination of flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, French horn, trumpet (baritone – treble clef), trombone, euphonium/baritone – bass clef, tuba, mallet percussion, violin, viola, cello, and bass.

Wilhelm Friedemann Bach (1710–1784) was the eldest son of Johann Sebastian Bach and an influential composer and keyboardist in his own right. He was known for his virtuosic improvisations and is credited with creating the genre of chamber music for two keyboards.

W.F. Bach was a master of the Baroque style and his music has been called “strikingly modern�. His keyboard works are full of brilliant ornamentation, vivid rhythms, and intense emotion. He wrote several sonatas for two keyboards, which are some of his most renowned works. These duets feature both players working in tandem to create a unified whole. W.F. Bach's pieces are highly inventive, often exploring new ideas in harmony, form, and rhythm.

W.F. Bach was an important contributor to the Baroque style and to the development of keyboard music. His influence is still felt today in the works of composers such as Mozart and Beethoven. His two-keyboard duets remain some of the most exciting and engaging pieces of the Baroque era.

An original piece by composer and clarinetist Ryan Terry. This fun, action-packed brass quintet piece paints the picture of a high speed train in the wild west. Fun fact: the main melody that you hear was composed on a train! This work was originally written for a Scoring and Arranging class at Brigham Young University-Idaho during the Fall 2022 semester, and has since been polished and revised, awaiting a new premiere performance. It is short and sweet, so I am willing to return to this piece to lengthen it out if anyone is interested in it being a few minutes longer.
