Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791) is thought to be one of the greatest composers of Western music. This piece was written around 1783 and was originally composed for 2 oboes and english horn. A lovely, easy trio for two violins and viola,  this piece is mostly in first position, with occasional forays into third position. The rhythm and bow use are very straightforward. An excellent way for intermediate students, amateurs and professionals to enjoy the wonderful music of Mozart.

J. S. Bach, (1685-1750) a prominent organist in his time, was an extremely prolific composer of many works. This arrangement, here arranged for four violins, is based on the 3rd Movement of his Pastorale in F for solo organ BWV 590,  and has a beautiful melody that is shared equally amongst all parts.
