Flute Duet Flute - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588867 Composed by Traditional Irish. Arranged by David McKeown. Celtic,Folk,Holiday,Wedding,World. Score. 4 pages. David McKeown #6013309. Published by David McKeown (A0.588867). The Londonderry Air is among the best loved melodies of Ireland. This beautiful version is arranged as a duet for two Flutes. The Londonderry Air was first collected and notated in the mid-nineteenth century in County Londonderry in the North of Ireland, however, the origins of the melody remain unknown. In 1913 the English writer Frederic Weatherley set his poem Danny Boy to the melody. There are many other settings of the Londonderry Air, with various lyrics and in musical styles from orchestral to brass band to jazz, but Danny Boy remains the best known.Londonderry Air is simply arranged in accessible keys and over a range best suited to the instruments. The melody is played twice with a key change and different accompaniment on the second verse and is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of a little over three minutes, this version of Londonderry Air is perfect for recitals and concert performance. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.961610 Composed by John O. Sullivan. A Cappella,Christmas,Sacred. Octavo. 8 pages. John O. Sullivan #5726453. Published by John O. Sullivan (A0.961610). This is a charming little Christmas carol based on the nursery rhyme Mary had a little lamb. The SATB choir with soprano solo is set as a Spanish lullaby (imagine castanets and tambourines).  It can also be performed as a soprano solo, a cappella.   Lyrics begin:  The Virgin Mary, when a child, had a little lamb whose fleece was white as snow: and everywhere that Mary went the little lamb was sure to go.... When she grew to be a woman, the Holy Ghost came down from heav'n above: and she conceived a tiny Lamb, the Lamb of God: God's Holy Light.
