French Horn Quartet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1428551 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Ander. Chamber,Classical. 15 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #1009340. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1428551). Introducing the sheet music for an exclusive arrangement of the Second Movement (Andante) of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K. 467 for Horn in F Quartet. This arrangement maintains the entire original structure of the work without any reductions in duration or purpose, with only the ensemble being reduced. Additionally, the solo is not for piano; instead, the melody is contained within the arrangement’s disposition without the need for a pianist to perform it. This arrangement is intended for performance groups with musical performance experience but can also be used as instructional material for music students and can be used in academic recitals, concerts and ceremonies. The original work was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1785 and is known for its beauty and serenity. With this arrangement, you can experience this masterpiece in a new and exciting way.

Small Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.972023 Composed by Keir C. Crawley. Children,Contemporary,Instructional. Score and parts. 14 pages. Keir C Crawley #3129967. Published by Keir C Crawley (A0.972023). ‘AsCent’ is the culmination of a number of ideas and experiences, first of which was the need to compose exciting and challenging music for the classroom. This piece attempts to put the Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3 budding musician into the musical world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or other similar big budget sci-fi action adventure films. Combining motor ostinati with contextually more adventurous accompanying harmony my aim is to move the musical learning away from the sometimes twee and undemanding into something with a little more musical bite. This orchestration of the piece includes parts for what I have come to know as a ‘mixed ability school ensemble’ i.e. a selection of instruments that you might typically find being taught in high schools both in London and nationally. The idea behind this was to put primary school musicians alongside older (sometimes as much as 10 years older) musicians from high schools to act both as inspiration and role models. 'AsCent’ for mixed ability school ensemble was first performed on Saturday 1st July 2017 by 76 musicians including 34 primary school children from the London Borough of Brent under the baton of the composer.

Piano,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1488840 Composed by Joseph Martin Kraus. Arranged by Bertil van Boer. Classical. 36 pages. Artaria Editions #1065694. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1488840). Artaria Editions AE435Joseph Martin Kraus was one of the most gifted and unusual composers of the 18th century, whose talent for thematic development, colourful orchestration and theatrical flair caused Haydn to proclaim him one of only two 'geniuses' he knew (Mozart being the other one). Although Kraus's focus as a composer was mainly upon works written for the stage, he had occasion and opportunity to write a variety of works for chamber setting, including this sonata for violin and fortepiano. It is not known for whom this work was written, but the sole surviving source, a set of parts in Uppsala University Library in the hand of Fredrik Silverstolpe, Kraus's first biographer and assiduous collector of his music, dates it to Kraus's grand tour; he notes that it was written in Paris in 1785. The sonata received its final form for keyboard alone as part of the Due Sonata per il Forte Piano published by Olof Åhlstrm some three years later in 1788. This sonata differs from the solo pianoforte version (also published by Artaria Editions as AE398) in that it is shorter (particularly in the slow movement) and less elaborate for both instruments. Nonetheless, it is an impressive sonata and among the most interesting works of its kind composed in the 1780s.Allan Badley.
