PLAYABLE ELEMENTARY RECORDER ENSEMBLE Arrangement is designed for elementary soprano and alto recorders in two parts and is suitable for elementary ensembles with guitar chords included. Some melodic simplification has been used for playability. The parts interact with each other such that students rely on each other to create the music. This is a very usable option with room for extended activities like dancers doing the Irish Jig in the foreground or drummers (a bodhrán perhaps?) keeping the beat. Perfect for the classroom and stage performance. A fun and easy way for students to experience ensemble playing and performing. An additional playability change is found in Part B, where the melody is juxtaposed between both parts, thereby avoiding higher-level interval jumps. A second copy of the arrangement is offered with the alto part transposed for teachers who prefer to teach alto recorder using soprano fingering.
