Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.884882 Composed by Franz Lehar. Arranged by Jonathan Prentice. Opera,Romantic Period. Score. 6 pages. Jonathan Prentice #6088013. Published by Jonathan Prentice (A0.884882). One of the most famous melodies in Classical music, Franz Lehár's, Vilja, comes from his operetta, Die lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow). It does not form part of the narrative of the opera but is sung by the character, Hanna, who dressed in traditional Pontevedrin clothes, sings this Pontevedrin song about a Vilia, a beautiful supernatural character who seduces a hapless hunter. It has subsequently become standard concert repertoire for both male and female singers (here in G major, suitable for sopranos and tenors).

Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1073111 Composed by David Pentecost. Baroque,Contemporary. Full Performance. Duration 108. Tatiana Stupak #6487395. Published by Tatiana Stupak (A0.1073111). A rare work, written specifically to make some use of the sostenuto (middle) pedal of a grand piano. Baroque style. It uses a similar note pattern to that used by Bach in the Fugue movement of his famous Toccata & Fugue in D Minor, BWV 565.   (The piece still sounds well on pianos without a sostenuto pedal, but not quite with the same sound effect as on a grand piano). Played by Tatiana Stupak on the Steinway grand piano at the Pattihio Muinicipal Theatre, in Limassol, Cyprus. The sheet music can be found at S0.917043.
