The “Hallel” signifies the praise; the Jah (Yah) is part of God’s covenant name Yahweh. This name was and is so holy that it is not uttered by Jews lest they violate the 4th Commandment.♫ There is an interesting sequence in the Psalm. Three times we see a progression of high to low, from the heavens to the earth, from the clouds to the insects, from kings to children.
