If you want to “show off” with these pieces, try showing off your ability to bring out the contrasting styles. Show off your ability to be expressive without sacrificing accuracy, and vice versa.Nos. 1 and 3 don’t have loads of detailed expressive nuances indicated. Some composers leave that to the performer more than others, and these give you the opportunity to practice shaping each phrase. In the other two, I’ve been more specific about the ups and downs, the pushes and pulls.
