Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1438013 By Louis Armstrong. By Bob Thiele and George David Weiss. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Timothy Stapay #1018085. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1438013). When it comes to timeless classics, few songs can compare to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong’s Orchestra and Chorus. Released in 1967, this beautiful melody has transcended decades, touching the hearts of millions across the globe. After it was heard in the film Good Morning, Vietnam, it was reissued as a single in 1988, and rose to number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.   Armstrong's recording was inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.In a world often plagued by strife and uncertainty, the song serves as a gentle reminder to focus on the positive aspects of life. It urges us to look beyond our differences and embrace the beauty that surrounds us. It celebrates the wonders of nature, the innocence of children, and the power of love, instilling a renewed sense of appreciation for the world we live in.I see trees of green, red roses tooI see them bloom for me and youAnd I think to myself what a wonderful worldI see skies of blue and clouds of whiteThe bright blessed day, the dark sacred nightAnd I think to myself what a wonderful worldThe colors of the rainbow so pretty in the skyAre also on the faces of people going byI see friends shaking hands saying how do you doThey're really saying I love youI hear babies crying, I watch them growThey'll learn much more than I'll never knowAnd I think to myself what a wonderful worldYes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.506422 Composed by Kurt Weill and Maxwell Anderson. Arranged by Alpin Smart (transcription for voice and guitar). 20th Century,Blues,Broadway,Classical,Musical/Show,Standards. Score. 4 pages. SmartWorks Publications #117940. Published by SmartWorks Publications (A0.506422). From Kurt Weill's last Broadway musical, Lost in the Stars, which opened on 30 October 1949, a year before Weill's early death at the age of 50. Based on Cry the Beloved Country, it was adapted by Maxwell Anderson, who worked with Weill on his very first Broadway musical, Knickerbocker Holiday, in 1935, not long after Weill arrived in the USA as a refugee from Nazi Germany. The song makes terrific use of Weill's affinity with the Blues, the harmonies well-suited to the mellow tones of the guitar - a haunting piece!

1 Piano,4 Hands,Piano Duet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1127872 Composed by Philip Le Bas. Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Multicultural,World. Score. 12 pages. Philip Le Bas #728481. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.1127872). Incidental music composed for piano duet (4-hands) in four parts by Philip Le Bas to accompany the Japanese folk tale (ghost story) Yuki-Onna (Snow Woman). This piano duet developed out of a cross-cultural project initiated at Morley College, London, in early 2019, aiming to create a melodrama for piano solo and spoken voice to be performed in northern Japan later in the year by young students of the piano. It is based on the ghost-story above, which is widely known in Japan. The tale was transcribed and published by Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo) in 1904 as part of his book “Kwaidan: Stories and Studies of Strange Things”, a collection that has been highly influential in expressing popular Japanese culture over the past century. Synopsis of the tale of Yuki-Onna: Two wood-cutters, Mosaku and his apprentice Minokichi, encounter a terrible snow-storm and take shelter in an empty hut by a river. The storm gets worse and worse, but they both finally fall asleep. When Minokichi wakes, he sees a woman all in white bending over Mosaku breathing bright white smoke onto his face. She then approaches Minokichi. She is very beautiful, but her eyes make him afraid. After a while she says, “I intended to do the same to you as I did to the old man, but I feel pity for you because you are a pretty young man. If you ever tell anybody what you have seen, however, I will kill you too.” And she vanishes into the snow storm. It is then that Minokichi discovers Mosaku dead on the floor of the hut. Years later Minokichi meets a beautiful girl, who calls herself O-Yuki. He falls in love with her and they live together in his house, along with his mother, who fortunately takes a liking to her new “honourable daughter-in-law.” Over the years O-Yuki gives birth to ten children and the villagers all agree that she is a wonderful person. But she is somehow different from them, as she continues to look young and fresh, despite the passing years. Minokichi often thinks of telling O-Yuki about the events of years ago, and eventually, as he is gazing at her beauty one night, he can resist it no more. He begins to tell her about the snow storm and the terrifying snow-woman. To his horror O-Yuki becomes more and more angry, and she finally says: “It was me, it was me,… and I said I would kill you if you ever told anyone! But for these children asleep here, I would do so this very moment! You had better take very good care of them; for if ever they have reason to complain of you, I will treat you as you deserve!” As she screams at him her voice becomes thin, like the crying of the wind, and she melts into a bright white mist spiraling into the roof-beams. At that moment it starts to snow, but O-Yuki is never seen again.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1430293 By Sarah McLachlan. By Randy Newman. Arranged by John Langley / Studio Orchestrations. Broadway,Children,Contemporary,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Singer/Songwriter. 28 pages. Www.studio-orchestrations.com #1010934. Published by www.studio-orchestrations.com (A0.1430293). What a privilege to share an arrangement of this perfect song, sung by Sarah McLachlan in Toy Story 2 in 1999.  If Toy Story and Toy Story 2 hadn't already entirely induced a nostalgic empathy from its audience for the life of old toys we used to play with, Jessie's heartfelt song of her memories with 'Emily' tugs the heart strings to make grown men cry.  Randy Newman wrote a perfect little gem in this short but iconic moment in movie history.  In the most respectful way the write and the song do so little SO well.  The orchestration is sparse but completely appropriate and supportive.  This arrangement follows the original soundtrack as closely as possible and would make a wonderful addition to a kids or education concert or an evening of film, musicals or just a celebration of great song writers.  Thank you Randy Newman for your wonderful understated genius for using musical simplicity to unpack human complexity.

Holyone Tombari Dodoh #1007362. Published by Holyone Tombari Dodoh (A0.1426660). Lyrics:I see you don't care, You don't care. I see you don't care. Won't you take care of me? Won't you take care of me? Won't you take care of me? I used to be your keeper,Was always there for you all time,And if you cried,I'd hold you,Close to my heart and whisper,You are the best thing in this world,My little sweet,Cry no more. Now, won't you take care of me? Won't you take care of me? Won't you take care of me? You needed me,I was there,I could not leave you there alone. My little love,You got me.You called to me;Teach me all,I was so glad to show you all,My little dear,Know it all.And when you're scared,I held you,I said, My baby, I'm right here.I prayed to God,Keep my love! But now, won't you take care of me?Won't you take care of me?Won't you take care of me?My little sweet,My happiness,I will never forget. Now a grown-up,Now you don't care,Never remember me? I just need you here with me.I cannot do it on my own,My little best,You've so grown.I need you to understand;I will not be here for so long,My little sweet,I need you now!So now, won't you take care of me? Won't you take care of me? Won't you take care of me?
