Part 3 Cavalry: Riding his horse trough the plains he stumbles upon a army cavalry division from the time of cowboys and Indians. they are coming back from defending their homeland and are already a bit tired but still proud of being a cavalry rider.

Part 4: Return home, its time for luke to return home and think back on all the wonderful and diverse people this world has.

Commissioned by Ross Choral Society for the Ross 700 Festival in 1984 and first performed by them on November 10th 1984, St. Luke's Anthem was very well received. It was composed from sketches Gordon made while in Farnborough Hospital in 1965. It is scored for S.A.T.B. choir with 2 trumpets, 2 trombones and organ and lasts for about 7.5 minutes. St. Luke's Anthem is well within the scope of most amateur choirs and the instrumental parts are not technically demanding.

Blessing (dedicated to Joshua Luke), the 5th track from the Reflections album (2010). Joshua is my son and this piece was composed and performed for Josh's christening in February 2010. Originally composed for soprano voice and piano, it was reworked as a solo piano work for the album. 'The Musician' (the quarterly magazine from the Musicians' Union) kindly described this composition as outstanding and a stunning piece, which boasts a charming melody and gratifying flourishes.
