You will get 2 versions of the traditional spiritual. The primary difference is in the difficulty level. One is Grade 3 and the other is Grade 3+.
Mallets are used in the middle section and this is where most of the accidentals are used. It is possible for a member to play 2- 6 bells during this section. For smaller choirs, you can eliminate the top 2 bells.

Sing We Now of Christmas is a wonderfully rhythmic minor key hymn that translates well to handbells, and beginning handbells at that! All within the span of less than an octave, this piece only requires six bells. If each ringer holds two bells, that makes only three ringers in all. My friend maestro said he likes the almost constant G on the second page, for he says it sounds like bells clanging in a tower, Christmas bells! Two pages, key of G minor, no key changes. Tempo set at 76 bpm, but challenge your choir to play this faster and see how that sounds!

This is an experiment using low bells for the first part and higher bells for the second so there are less ringers required but still using many of the three octave range. This a worshipful arrangement on In The Garden. Plays first on handchimes (optional)  in a lower register, then repeats on handbells in a higher range. The hand chimes can be omitted and played all on handbells. Needs 6 or 7 Ringers
