Tu del ciel ministro eletto is a beautiful and serene aria from Handel’s Oratorio Il trionfo del Tempo. The oratorio premiered in Rome in 1707, but Handel twice revised it later in his career. In this aria Beauty turns her back on pleasure and dedicates her heart to the Elected Minister of Heaven. The soprano voice and solo violin are in constant dialogue throughout.

This version of Tu del ciel ministro eletto is arranged as a Duet for Flute, Clarinet, and Piano. The piano part is straightforward, but the clarinet and flute parts will set challenges for control, breathing and tuning. Performance time is around five minutes.
