This is a fun little piece for violin duet. This Fancy For Two Oboes No.1 is based on work I've written for the guitar. It is essentially a direct transcription and so it is captures the drive, tonal relationships and flow one might expect in a stringed, fretted instrument but through the medium of two oboes. It's ideal for a teacher-student duet, ensemble performance, or technical exploration.
Guitarist Neal Fitzpatrick has a B.M. from the Hartt School where he studied with Alan Spriestersbach and his M.M. from The Yale School of Music where he studied with Benjamin Verdery. He also studied  extensively with Sharon Isbin and Sal Salvador. Based in Connecticut, he is active as a soloist and in the chamber music scene. Tu del ciel ministro eletto is a beautiful and serene aria from Handel’s Oratorio Il trionfo del Tempo. The oratorio premiered in Rome in 1707, but Handel twice revised it later in his career. In this aria Beauty turns her back on pleasure and dedicates her heart to the Elected Minister of Heaven. The soprano voice and solo violin are in constant dialogue throughout.

This version of Tu del ciel ministro eletto is arranged as a Duet for two Oboes and Piano. The piano part is straightforward, but the oboe parts will set challenges for control, breathing and tuning. Performance time is around five minutes. The pdf file contains both the piano score and both instrumental parts. Peer Gynt, Op. 23 is the incidental music to Henrik Ibsen's 1867 play of the same name, written by the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg in 1875. It premiered along with the play on 24 February 1876 in Christiania (now Oslo).

Later, in 1888 and 1891, Grieg extracted eight movements to make two four-movement suites: Suite No. 1, Op. 46, and Suite No. 2, Op. 55. Some of these movements have received coverage in popular culture; see Grieg's music in popular culture.

TWO BEATS, in this version for 2 oboes, is a version of BEATS with an added second part. The original version of BEATS for soprano recorder was written in 2014 for Maria Dorner-Hofmann, a German recorder virtuoso who also teaches at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. The work, in 7 minutes, explores the evolution of repetitive cellular ideas using various meters, lengths of cells and musical atmospheres. There are simple passages as well as virtuosic ones and the energy level of the piece remains at a highly intensive level throughout the entire seven minutes.
