In this piece the composer is extending and futher developing the musical material of her existing composition for a cappella SATB choir: A LAMENT FOR UKRAINE (2022), on Ukrainka's poetry, this time for Symphony Orchestra. Towards the end of this piece fragments of the Ukrainian National Anthem are also incorporated as an homage to the spirit  and the hopes of the brave resistance of the Ukrainians.
