Instead, he wrote an abstract, almost Neoclassical work full of mockery, playfulness, and bombastic gestures.The first movement of this great work is featured in a fantastic arrangement by Wes Ballenger for Brass Quintet with optional Percussion (only one performer needed) and can be performed by advanced artists. The instrumentation is for: 2 Trumpets in C, Horn in F, Trombone, F Tuba or Bass Trombone and Percussion (snare drum and triangle).
