Instrumental Duet,Lever Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808007 Composed by Charles Converse. Arranged by Serena O’Meara. Country,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual,Traditional. 10 pages. O'Meara Music #4621501. Published by O'Meara Music (A0.808007). One of the most popular hymns of all times, the poem, What A Friend We Have in Jesus, was a poem written by Joseph Scriven in 1855. He sent it from Canada to his Mother in Ireland. In 1868, American Charles Converse, an attorney and composer of hymns, came across Scriven’s poem and set the words to music, publishing it in a hymnal. Set in the key of F, the melody is shared equally between parts. Each part is of equal difficulty, although Harp II makes F# in each verse. Dynamics are clearly marked. You will receive the Score, Harp I, Harp II and a page of lyrics.
