The famous broken chords in the accompaniment are changed from double notes to single notes and the result is a quasi Chopin-like nocturne. Even though this arrangement is a simplification, it requires an advanced technique in the left hand (the bass notes are a little far from those famous broken chords) so this can be taken too as a study for technique, but of course, it is still simple and playable with a little practice.You can find another version in C major published also by Daniel C. She told me about her daughter, Rachel, who was born with two extremely rare diseases. The first is  Subcortical Band Heterotopia.  The other is Lennox Gastaut Syndrome.  The latter, likely consequential to the first, is the more lethal of the two, as it causes severe seizures and is not controlled for long by drugs.  The first, the most devastating and life-affecting is characterized by abnormal brain development which causes this delightful young woman of 25 to be locked in the brain of a pre-pubescent child or younger.Dad has left, and his legal obligation to child support ended in 2019.  In NJ, disability, no matter how severe, only extends the legal child support obligation to age 23.  Of course child support payments cannot possibly fulfill or replace the financial, emotional and moral support needed to care for a child without such severe disability.  How much less when the child has such severe disabilities.All proceeds from sales of this song, including licensing and royalties, will be gifted to Rachel's Mom until 31 December 2032 or ten years after Rachel's decease, whichever is later.

This edition contains (1) soprano recorder part, with editorial trills and mordents, plus a written out ornamented cadence to the penultimate bar of the opening Largo; (2) keyboard part with figured bass; (3) bass continuo (cello, viola da gamba, or bassoon).  All tempo markings are editorial; the keyboard realisation is editorial and can, of course, be modified at will, as can ornamentation of the recorder part.  NOTE: a limitation of my notation software has necessitated using hash for the figured bass sharp sign, and for the figured natural, I have used hash cancelled with a slash. A lovely, approachable Sonata.

In this arrangement the cello obligato is performed by a cello soloist, though the director of course, can put as many players on the line as desired. The cello and bass parts feature some tapping and knocking on the body of the instrument. The cello percussion section will take some practice from the section, but it should be fun for them to learn. The arrangement is on the easier side of grade 3/intermediate and includes a Violin 3 part which doubles the Viola.
