This piece is a new composition for 2018. It is set to the De Profundis text from Psalm 130.
This piece makes for a great introit to any service due to its short chant length.
It also makes for a nice addition to any program or service.

Inspired by modern composers such as Arvo Part and Ola Gjeilo, the parts explore the range as the piece moves through its short cinematic soundscape.

Suo Gan is a traditional Welsh lullaby with many arrangements on you tube but very few scores for solo voice available. My arrangement is an homage to Arvo Pärt and his self-invented compositional technique, tintinnabuli.  (from the Latin tintinnabulum, a bell)  Singing range is from F3 to F4 for male voice and F4 to F5 for female or child.  Works well with other solo instruments as well.

The miniature score 'Study of Psalm 134' is a contemporary neoclassical piece composed on Psalm 134 of the Christian Bible. My compositions are influenced by Peter Sculthorpe, a contemporary Australian composer, and also Arvo Part, the great Estonian composer. 
This score is a miniature dramatic piece of music that expresses the rhapsodic nature of God's blessing and in turn our praise of Him.  The score is not a hymn with lyrics, therefore. The pianist should peddle freely throughout.

I composed this piece from June through July in 2003 and it was performed by a volunteer church choir during Advent. .
