Trombone, baritone, bassoon (bass clarinet and bari sax double) 8. Tuba 9. Percussion (snare and bass drum) I include a bass clarinet/baritone TC part and a bari sax part. Measures are numbered in both score and parts. I keep the horns low to work on accuracy and a big sound instead of doubling the alto part. I retired last year after 38 years of Texas band directing. There was lots of bike riding, roller skating, tree climbing, skipping stones on the water, and running through waist high piles of autumn leaves. The change of seasons is so colourfully vivid in Canberra, it just makes you want to be outside to taste it!I’ve tried to capture that playfulness in this song which I dedicate to my big brother James with whom I spent so many of those childhood weekends. And the music score above is the strings cover.It is in the same key (B Major) as the original song.The violin and viola share quite evenly between the melody and the accompaniment part.
