A short transition invites a meter change (from 6/8 to 4/4) where the Left Hand states phrases of â??Hark! The Herald Angels Singâ? while the Right Hand continues with â??It Came Upon the Midnight Clearâ? (in 4/4). Graded as Upper Intermediate because of the independence of the hands, occasions when the left hand carries the melody, and a few blues/jazz harmonies in the final section. The first two parts are in the key of Bb Major; the return of 6/8 in the final section is accompanied by a key change to C Major.
