Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.961679 Composed by Kim S. Bean. Children,Contemporary,Sacred,Standards. Score. 2 pages. Kim S. Bean #6038065. Published by Kim S. Bean (A0.961679). Waiting, 2 pages, is an intermediate piece in the key of D minor, is the fifth piece from a fairy tale suite of 8 pieces entitled The Kingdom of Light.  This work tells the story of a beautiful kingdom where the people are always singing and dancing. A place with glorious sunsets and sparkling seashores, with no evil lurking anywhere...until one day the Dark Knight arrives. Can the Prince save his lovely Princess? Can peace and safety be restored once more?   For individual student enjoyment as well as for recital programs. The recordings have narration and character voice overs followed by the piano piece that tells the story. Churches can use this for religious purposes as this can be allegorical in nature. The solo, Waiting, is in 6/8 time, opens with the tolling of a bell in a clock tower. Students will learn to make an audience wait , creating suspense. The music begins a frantic staccato motif that requires the student to cross their hands quickly. The piece ends in the key of F major as a hope filled surprise. Students with small hands can play single notes instead of octaves when necessary.Other pieces available in this suite are: Script for The Kingdom of Light,The Kingdom of Light, Joyful News! Leaving, The Dark Knight, His Journey and Return, Everlasting Promise and Glorious Celebration.
