Lars Ek är från Stockholm och började spela dragspel som 5-åring och ett år senare - 1953 gjorde han radiodebut! TV-debut 1958! Lars arbetar som dragspelare i olika sammanhang, bland annat har han arbetat som lärare, ackompanjatör för ett flertal artister och turnerat mycket i Sverige och utomlands. Han har även turnerat med sin populära Hot-trio och som solodragspelare i Europa, Asien och Nordamerika! Lars har genom åren spelat in flera skivor, som han faktiskt lyckats spegla de gamla dragspelsmästarnas kompositioner! Lars Ek är initiativtagare till Frosinisociety som grundades 1985 och som ska bevara den gamla dragspelsmusiken. Lars är nu ordförande i Internationella Frosinisällskapet och är en av grundarna till The World Accordion Music Expo i Ransäter! Det internationella Frosinisällskapet som han gör genom sajten www.frosinisociety.org ett enormt fint jobb med att främja dragspelens utveckling och popularitet både i Sverige och utomlands. Lars arbetar vid sidan av musiken på artistagenturen Music & Underhållningsskrädderiet AB, som han driver tillsammans med familjen sedan starten 1980.

When Queen Victoria’s daughter used the music for her marriage in 1858, it became instantly popular and has remained a wedding favourite ever since.This version is arranged for Solo Trumpet and Piano and the performance time is around three and a half minutes. Of course, performers, especially at weddings, may wish to abridge and shorten the arrangement. This is easily done as the different sections are self-contained and interchangeable. Repeats may also be ignored.
