String Trio Cello,Double Bass,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1266243 Composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Arranged by Snakewood Editions. Baroque,Classical. 23 pages. Sneakwood Editions #858975. Published by Sneakwood Editions (A0.1266243). Preface and notes to the edition (English and Spanish) Score Parts (violin, violoncello, and basso) The sonata can be found in autograph version at the Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria di Torino (Foá 29, pp.83r-86v).  It is the only known copy of this work, and was composed around 1720. It is copied in full score format. In the known catalog of Vivaldi’s works we find only another piece written for the same instrumentation (violin, violoncello, and basso): the trio sonata RV 820. The differences between the two sonatas are notable: the rv 820 sonata was written in Vivaldi’s younger years (ca. 1705) while the rv 83 sonata shows us a Vivaldi who has already forged his own fully recognizable style.Vivaldi used abbreviations and sometimes omitted certain information; a common practice found in many of his autographs. This edition clarifies all these annotations and, at the same time, gives the performer all the information contained in the manuscript.

Piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q11444 Composed by Harald Genzmer. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 10 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q11444. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q11444). The Hindemith pupil Harald Genzmer (1909–2007) worked with virtually all music genres and composed works for many, even unusual instruments (such as the trautonium). He also wrote compositions for the piano, of course, and in 1938 published a major work, Sonata No. 1. For Richards Laugs who had worked in Mannheim since 1945, first as musical director at the National Theatre, then as director of the local music academy, he wrote '3 Tänze' for piano the autograph of which was discovered among the effects of Laugs' widow only recently. These very enjoyable-to-play and melodious miniatures are published for the first time here.

This autograph is kept in the National Library of Poland in Warsaw. The present edition represents this autograph. There also exists a different autograph of this waltz, kept at the Conservatoire de Paris, but it is considered to be a less refined version. Moreover, the posthumous edition of Jules Fontana presents yet another version, which does not correspond to any known autograph.

Flute,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533323 Composed by Jacques Leguerney. 20th Century,Concert,Standards. Score and part. 25 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #2343129. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533323). Sonate pour piano et flûteI. Andantino spirituosoII. Pas trop lentIII. VifDates de composition : décembre, 1926 - octobre, 1927The Sonata for Piano and Flute (Sonate pour piano et flûte) was composed for Claude Desanges, a school mate of the composer. The only known performance was an informal one at the Parisian apartment of Leguerney’s parents. Leguerney’s mentor and dear friend, Thérèse Cahen, accompanied Desanges. The Sonata is dedicated to Michel Jomier, Leguerney’s close friend, who also wrote several poems that Leguerney set during his early period of exploratory compositions. Part of the handwritten dedication is illegible, it reads “To Michel Jomeir, in memory of ?” and there we can only guess at the rest. There are several autograph manuscripts on deposit at the Département Musique of the Bibliothèque National in Paris. These manuscripts are the property of the Leguerney Estate, and are identified by a code starting with OL. OL11 is a full-score rough draft with several corrections, indicated by hatch-marks. It is dated 1 October 1927. At the end of the 1st movement, the last quarter notes in the piano part are marked with a slur going over the final double bar, indicating that the sound should continue to resonate. There is a fermata over this ending double bar in both the flute and piano parts, which implies that the 2nd movement should continue immediately. This mark is eliminated in OL11A. The 2nd movement also has slurs over the final notes, indicating a segue to the 3rd and final movement. There are fermatas over the final chords of the 2nd movement as well. These are eliminated in OL11A. The 2nd movement isdated 29 October 1927 and the 3rd movement is dated 9 December 1926. OL11A is a cleanly copied full-score autograph manuscript where the title is Sonate pour Piano et Flûte en 3 Mouvements. Andantino spiritoso, Pas trop lent, Vif. (Sonata for Piano and Flute in 3 Movements. Andantino spiritoso, Pas trop lent, Vif.) OL11B is a clean copy of the flute part. Although unsigned, it appears to be an autograph manuscript. The breath marks placed into the Musik Fabrik edition are written in pencil in both OL11B and OL11C. OL11C is a flute part that appears to be used. It is worn, has some paste overs and penciled-in cues in the 2nd movment, as well as some breath marks and nuance indications. This seems to be a workingcopy for a performance or reading. The editor thinks that OL11B is the final draft, written out after OL11C was used for a performance. This edition is based upon all of these sources, using the full score of OL11A and the flute score OL11B as the final thoughts of the composer.

Opus/Catalog Number: Op. 119, No. 1 Key/Tone: G Minor Movements/Sections: Allegretto Year/Date of Composition: 1822 Difficulty: Grade 7/12 (Intermediate) Obs.: This piece is one of Beethoven's shortest bagatelles. It was composed during Beethoven's mature period, when he was about 53 years old. It has the following musical form : Measures 1-16: Theme in the main key of G minor Measures 17-32: Contrasting section in the key of E flat Major Measures 33-36: Transition modulating back to G minor Measures 37-52: Theme returns, in G minor, with its second phrase slightly varied Measures 53-65: Codetta in G minor Measures 66-end: Conclusion in C minor, based on the first fragment of the theme, with an unusual ending on the dominant chord (G) of the key of C minor Obs.: There are some modifications to be noted: Measure 20: the autograph as well as the Clementi & Co. edition (London, 1823) have parallel Ab4-G4 on the first two beats of the right hand. In this arrangement you'll see F4-Eb4 as in the Sauer & Liedersdorf (Vienna, 1824) edition Measure 65: the autograph has a quarter rest on the first beat of the right hand, and the G5 on the second beat. The Vienna 1824 edition has G5 on the first beat and the rest on the second beat Measure 72: the Vienna 1824 edition and the Schlesinger edition show arpeggiations in both hands here, which do not appear in the autograph.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.748652 Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Mark Reeves. 20th Century,Film/TV,Wedding. Score. 2 pages. Mark Reeves #35043. Published by Mark Reeves (A0.748652). Erik Satie's Trois Gymnopedies sound so modern that it is hard to believe that they were written way back in 1888. Over the years many editions of these timeless piano gems have been published, yet very few are without inaccuracies and editorial/printing errors. For this new edition, however, the composer's original autographed manuscripts have been used as the initial source material, along with the very first printed editions published in 1888 and 1895. Errors in these first editions have been corrected and Satie's unconventional preference for distributing the notes of chords across both staves has been ignored in favour of grouping the notes together to facilitate chord recognition and performance.

Cello and piano - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q52946 For piano and violoncello. Composed by Richard Strauss. This edition: score and part. Complete edition - piano - score - violoncello. Downloadable, Score and part. Duration 26 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q52946. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q52946). Key: F major. The Cello Sonata Op. 6 was composed over an apparently frequently interrupted period of three years, an extraordinarily long time for Strauss’s early creative phase. The compositional process spawned two independent versions of the work, the first of which is published for the first time on the basis of the text in the Critical Edition of the Works of Richard Strauss in the current edition as a practical musical text. The genesis of the two versions and the reasons for revision can only be reconstructed in part: only one of the surviving autographs bears a date and the second version only survives in printed form. What is more, Strauss did not communicate in greater detail on this composition in correspondence with his family and friends. There are enormous differences between the two versions of the Sonata: Strauss deleted the entire second and third movements Larghetto and Allegro vivace, replacing them with a newly composed Andante and Finale. In the first movement, Allegro con brio, Strauss retained the thematic-motivic material and compositionally complex passages such as the three-voice fugue in the development section (from bar 241 in the first version and bar 275 in the second version) almost intact in the new version of the sonata, but also undertook extensive alterations, particularly in the structure of the piano part, the motivic-thematic development of the movement and its harmony which became far more ambitious.12 Particular attention should be drawn to the repetitive accompaniment of the con espressione theme beginning in bar 32 and the significantly shorter development in the first version. The current printed edition of the first version of Richard Strauss’s Cello Sonata now makes it possible to follow Strauss’s compositional development during this period. The significance of the differences between the versions also mean that two sonata compositions for violoncello and piano by Richard Strauss with fundamental disparities in their underlying character are now available for performance. (from the foreword by the editors).
