1 Piano,4 Hands,Piano Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.733588 Composed by Bernard de la Monnoye. Arranged by Amy J. Snyder. Christmas,Standards. Score. 7 pages. Amy J. Snyder #4808881. Published by Amy J. Snyder (A0.733588). Patapan, originally written in 1720 by Bernard de La Monnoye has become a Christmas favorite. This version is arranged for intermediate piano and can be played on 1 piano, 4 hands. The primo takes the melody, and on the 2nd verse adds a harmony note that may be played with the left hand, or combine with the melody and take it with the right hand. Another option is to play the harmony note with the left hand an octave lower than the right hand melody. The secondo part is a fun vamp that intensifies verse by verse. The overall mood is almost that of a Hungarian Rhapsody. Great for recitals, Christmas parties, and family fun around the piano. Arranged by Amy J. Snyder.
