Mixed Percussion B-Flat Tuba,B-Flat trombone,Baritone Horn TC/Euphonium,Bass Trombone,E-Flat Cornet,E-Flat Tenor Horn,E-Flat Tuba TC,Flugelhorn,Percussion 1,Percussion 2,Tenor Trombone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1255512 Composed by Matthew Nunes. Classical,Thriller. Brass Band. 120 pages. Matthew Nunes Music #849018. Published by Matthew Nunes Music (A0.1255512). Listen to this piece hereJessica Mitford’s incisive 1963 essay Behind the Formaldehyde Curtain is the inspiration for this piece. Mitford dissects the embalming industry while baring the ironies and inhumanities of its processes. First included in her book The American Way of Death, we follow “Mr. Jones” from death to burial and experience all the tools, techniques, and abuses in-between. It was required reading for me as a high school junior and a text that grows more haunting with each added birthday candle. The piece follows “Mr. Jones” on his journey with narrated extracts from Mitford’s essay. The opening chords are constructed from the pitches D-flat, E-flat, A-flat, and another D-flat, following Igor Stravinsky’s final chord in The Rite of Spring (D-E-A-D). From here the material alternates between chromatically descending, as the corpse nears its final resting place, and ascending, while the embalmers fight to champion death.- Matthew NunesNiceville, July 2020.

Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.733027 Composed by Charles Edward Duble. Arranged by Marc Oliver. 20th Century. Score and parts. 53 pages. Ayotte Custom Musical Engravings #2347281. Published by Ayotte Custom Musical Engravings (A0.733027). Every genre of music has its one-hit wonders-composers or performers who are forever known for just one piece of music. In classical music, two composers come to mind: Johann Pachebel for his Canon in D and Emil Reznecek for his overture to Donna Diana. I am certain that they have written a lot more music, but we only know them for the above-mentioned works. The same is true in wind band music. The composer in question is one, Charles E. Duble. His one big hit is his circus march, Bravura. One of his lesser known marches is Wizard of the West. It was originally written in 1908 and dedicated To A. R. Wheeler, Musical Director, Howes Great London Shows. To this day, however, this occidental expert remains a mystery because he has not come out from behind the curtains. However, the western wizard does make his presence known in the euphonium section-especially in the trio.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1321618 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. 3 pages. Kevin G. Pace #910095. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1321618). A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:Shouldst Not the Heavens Weep?“ . . . for He loveth the world . . .”  (2 Nephi 26:24)In a striking prophecy and opened to his view,Enoch saw mortality as a glorious truth.Curtains of creation birthed God’s pure holy race.Yet what Enoch saw were tears on His saddened face. How is it that Thou canst weep? Thou art God of all!All eternity is thine . . . this thy sacred call.Mercy goes before thy eyes, truth before thy throne. How is it that Thou canst weep? All thy worlds are known.Of my soul pure children came, from my very hands.I gave mankind agency so all love could stand. But, behold, their sins I see; mis’ry is their doom.Seeing some shall suffer much, my heart feels entombed.Shouldest not the heavens weep for these ofmy own?Suff’ring for each child of mine, I for them atoned.Tears that fall are for their souls; these must suffer too.If they choose not to repent, my love seems untrue.Chorus:Shouldst not the heavens weep? God gave life to all.Shouldst not the heavens weep? His love covers all.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1162180 By Jean-Philippe Rameau and Vikingur Olafsson. By Jean-Philippe Rameau. Arranged by Flavio Regis Cunha. Baroque,Contest,Early Music,Festival,Instructional. Score. 8 pages. FRC Music #762536. Published by FRC Music (A0.1162180). During his studies in New York, Víkingur Ólafsson became aware of the works of Jean-Philippe Rameau, which immediately fascinated him. Here the Icelandic pianist Rameaus interprets Le Rappel des Oiseaux, which is part of his album Debussy - Rameau. As the dreamy prélude comes to a close, the curtains are raised to reveal the dusky forest home of Rameau’s birds. What ensues are lively scenes from his extraordinarily inventive Suite in E minor. The birds are calling (Le Rappel des oiseaux). As extraordinary innovators of both harmony and form, with a unique ear for colour and a keen sense of the theatrical, both Rameau and Debussy wrote music which engages more senses than just that of hearing. - Víkingur Ólafsson.Intermediate.Format: Concert,  9 x 12 inches.8 pages.

Tenor Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.991626 Composed by Margaret Woodley. Contemporary. 6 pages. Margaret Woodley #3033771. Published by Margaret Woodley (A0.991626). My setting of the old English poem Epitaph upon a young married couple dead and buried together by Richard Crashaw (1613? - 1649).TO these whom death again did wed This grave 's the second marriage-bed. For though the hand of Fate could force 'Twixt soul and body a divorce, It could not sever man and wife,         Because they both lived but one life. Peace, good reader, do not weep; Peace, the lovers are asleep. They, sweet turtles, folded lie In the last knot that love could tie.  Let them sleep, let them sleep on, Till the stormy night be gone, And the eternal morrow dawn; Then the curtains will be drawn, And they wake into a light  Whose day shall never die in night.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845979 By OneRepublic. By Brent Kutzle, John Nathaniel, and Ryan Tedder. Arranged by Kyle Pudenz. Contemporary,Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 29 pages. ViolinVagabond Music #5739335. Published by ViolinVagabond Music (A0.845979). Whether you are a tried and true OneRepublic fan looking to add to your ensemble's catalog, a struggling musician hoping for Better Days, or simply want to create a little social media buzz by playing that song that you saw in a commercial about a Jeep, or ESPN, or NBC... THIS is the chart you are looking for!Check out Dallas String Quartet performing this chart in their latest music video: https://youtu.be/BBEdsXRELywWhat you have here, ladies & gentlemen, is no half-baked attempt at a transcription that you might find illegally floating around the internet for a few bucks. This meticulously-arranged instrumental reimagining of OneRepublic's new smash is much, MUCH more. Your journey through the pop-string realm starts out with a silky, cinematic intro that will filter out the commotion of your futile existence, opening the curtains to reveal a plane of pure musical ecstasy. When the groove finally drops, and OH, does it DROP... you will not be able to stop yourself from foot-tapping, head-banging, or otherwise moving one or more body parts in a definitively rhythmic fashion. Hip rhythmic chopping grooves, fingerboard slaps, and a healthy dose of syncopation will take this sick beat to another level! And if that isn't enough to pique your interest, be on the lookout for some sexy reharminizations throughout the tune that will make you honestly wonder why those chords weren't in the song to begin with...Just when you thought this couldn't get any better: THERE IS A SOLO SECTION!! I've included some written solos, but if you prefer to improvise your own, that is allowed and encouraged. You can also vamp it if you need to kill a little time, or just want to show off for a few more bars.**This score is also available with Rhythm Section Parts for guitar, bass & drum set, which your ensemble can use to perform with a full band. Visit https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/21765313?aff_id=655189 for more details**Having a great ensemble may be the first step to successfully landing the big gigs, but having repertoire that gives your musicians the chance to shine will make you stand out from the rest. So don't settle for reading off of a piano score or hacking through questionably-obtained transcriptions when you can have the real deal. Fresh tunes, arranged by a real string player who has been in your shoes and knows how to wow the crowd! Thanks for visiting, and I hope this chart brings us all to some Better DaysPerformance time - 4:00 as written, longer if you vamp the solo, shorter if you cut the intro. Because I get it; we all need flexibility when wedding parties and/or emcee's are involved.Questions? Feel free to contact me via my website, www.kylepudenz.com/ or on the 'Insta @theviolinvagabond
