Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.526365 By Shaggy Featuring Rayvon. By Ahmet Ertegun, Chip Taylor, Eddie Curtis, and Steve Miller. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Hip-Hop,Pop,R & B,Wedding. 13 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #6598533. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.526365). One of the biggest hits of the early 2000's, Angel was released by reggae artist Shaggy with additional vocals by Barbadian singer Rayvon. Using samples and melodies from several other songs including Angel Of The Morning by Chip Taylor, the song combined many great elements into a catchy hit with a laid-back groove that quickly became massively popular. Angel ended up as a number one hit in 12 countries, and it's still one of everyone's favorite nostalgic singalongs -- so you can't go wrong having this one in your gig books! This Cellobat arrangement for violin and cello duet is just as much fun to play as it is to listen to, and it will be perfect for weddings, receptions, cocktails, parties, solo & ensemble contest, or any other occasion that needs a great 90's throwback. Rated advanced-intermediate mainly for some rhythmic complexity throughout, but both parts remain entirely in 1st position, and this will be easily sightreadable for professionals and learnable for students. Sarah “Cellobat†Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Currently, she performs with legendary rock band Aerosmith in their “Deuces Are Wild†residency show, and she is the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays with many other groups including Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, the Femmes Of Rock, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has performed and recorded with numerous other artists including Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Halsey, Michael Bublé, Sarah Brightman, and Lady A. She is the exclusive arranger for a number of award-winning wedding and event companies all across the United States, including Premiere Wedding Music, Las Vegas Music Oasis, and Impulse Strings, and she has created custom arrangements for many other ensembles all over the world. Mariachi Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1405099 Composed by Traditional Mexican Folk Song. Arranged by Donald Jay Smith. Mariachi. Mariachi Band. 10 pages. Donald Jay Smith Music #988137. Published by Donald Jay Smith Music (A0.1405099). This is from a collection of pieces I originally arranged for my Middle School Mariachi Band at Curtis Corner Middle School in Wakefield, Rhode Island. Since that time, I have used these arrangements with all ages through college, pros, and especially two families that happened to have the correct instrumentation between the parents and their children. At the middle school, the strings were more advanced than the trumpets and I needed to deal with young string players only being familiar playing sharp keys and brass players only being familiar with flat keys. My solution for one of the first arrangements was in “Mexican Hat Danceâ€. I assigned the violins two simple double stops (their first double stops: one finger in low first position while bowing both the A and E string-the first finger on the E string is an F chord and first finger on the A string is a C7 chord). I split the four songs, two in flat keys two in sharp keys. The trumpets were assigned several unfamiliar pitches in the sharp keys like G#, but with plenty of repetition and not technically challenging figures except in the bridge of “Mexican Hat Danceâ€. I intended to cover that part of the song on my trumpet, but the trumpets always rose up and nailed it!The set we usually played included: “La Cucarachaâ€, “Cielito Lindoâ€, “De Coloresâ€, and “Mexican Hat Danceâ€, all available here (soon).
