ASK AT WIND OF ME

If it will touch you

The breeze of summer that

It ends and goes away

And leave it inside you

Melancholy

Ask at wind of me

Ask at wind of me

If you will walk

Between the anonymous crowd

of this city

And you seem to notice me

You'll miss a beat

Ask the wind if you want

Remember us

Ask him where I live and if I keep my smile

Ask the wind if I understand everything I've lost

Of the open-air nights

Pray and hope for the best for you

Ask at wind of me the

Ask at  wind if I could make peace with the past

Ask him if I realized that my dream so wrapped up

He will talk about time

When I looked so much like you

You will listen to it

And you will understand

Even mud does not hide the glow

Of bright stars

It does not cover the flare

Remember your name is sun rising

and as a phoenix you have a thousand resources

It was January, but there was sun, and it was Sunday, special day

That's why you were born with the fire inside

To melt the ice, it's your sixth sense

Crow that flies, bad  omen

We in our body, an eternal discomfort

You look in the mirror and you find yourself beautiful

You are how I see you, there is light shining

If you do not find the person who looks like you in the world

And you will only fool yourself

In unnecessary research

Because you're unique

Do not let them ever change

Awesome as you are

And you do not have to be satisfied

The semblance of a love

You're a ray of sunshine

Always look for his heat

If no one can understand

That thin sorrow

Look for me

Ask at wind of me

Reminding me hurt you

Try to forget

If my name makes you suffer

Try to let me go

But if in a corner of the heart

Allow  me to  stay

I'll be with you in the wind ...

I'm the wind that laughs

It wraps you up until the summer returns ...

Sacred music for SATB choir with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mark R. Fotheringham. See text below: Righteousness Eternal, the Son of God supernal, Descended He by God's decree to bless us with His love. He came to earth of humble birth, no beauty to desire. Yet those who heard His sacred Word were blessed with holy fire. None was more deserving, yet He was ever serving. The poor and meek would humbly seek to hear the Master speak. Each story told would make them bold to live a better life, To serve and give, joyfully live and comfort those in strife. Selfless was His power. He sought to bless each hour. With little bread, the masses fed. He even raised the dead. Though sinless, He the Lamb would be, a sacrifice for sin, To save us all from Eden’s fall and lead us back again. Grief and pain He suffered, much more than any other. He leant His breath to mortal death, then took it back again. This victory He shares with thee, so all men yet may thrive. Be it our prayer to meet Him where the righteous come alive.

NEMESIS

I enter the room of my consciousness

That incredible disorder

I rummage through the drawers

Where I keep sufferings

And the ineradicable memories

Dust that knows of regret

Spider webs cover my time,

I recompose pieces of life

But I'm here for you

Fleeting shadow

And my face reflects, Inside you

My nemesis, my alter ego

You reflect me and then

Are a dark ghost

The imperfect and the unsaid

I will let you be what you are,

My soul, black and rending.

If you destroy my image

It does not matter

Finally that door remains open

And opening the border between dream and reality

I stumble among people at my funeral

Who cry, who laugh,

It is my Carnival

I look at them from above, a spectral profile

Rush down into the void that I have inside

Nobody hugs me, I touch the silence,

Slow-motion of a movie without more viewers,

Close the curtain of the world outside and ... and ...

The snow falls , how cold it is

For this actress without identity

I escape from the frost of my uncertainties

But there is no refuge save me from she

Who is heat, but to hurt

Is my animal instinct

I'm alone in this storm

But certainly I do not regret

Your mood swings, your sterile love

Even without, I will survive

My nemesis now dominates

Be careful! If she comes for you

She destroys you, crushes you, is cruel and savage,

And then she will laugh in your face

And sitting here on the bank of my river

I'm waiting for you to pass this way

Naked and without arrogance

I'll never get enough

This dance that gives me joy

And in the darkness I move safe and stealthy  (what are you?)

I'm not afraid of anything and I feel wicked  (you are lost now)

Souls dancing to the beat of their sins  (you like us)

In this limbo I disown my past days  (and so will you be...)

Wind and storm

I'm not just this,

The rumble of thunder

I don't understand any longer which side I’m on

And it goes against the wind and sharpens my torment

I'm hungry for the Sun

Nemesis cannot dominate me

My nemesis is here,

Is stronger than ever

And I know that she is reaching for me

And it’s she who does not know

Ever to stop halfway,

Is Lady of Vice and Deception

She seizes me , she exhausts me because

She does not accept the peace that I have inside

She has no balance,

Makes me waver,

And frustrates what I have achieved

Tell me that you'll disappear

As a dream in the morning light

And will be, within me,

A memory clouded by time

I leave the room of my consciousness

To make order is impossible

Strange this drawer, not only sufferings

But something relentless

Nemesis, it is no longer your time

By now your fire is spent

And I will be born again to enchantment

By words and music

Food for the soul ...

Composed by CÉSAR CANO. Contemporary,World. Individual part. 16 pages. POLYHYMNIA Ediciones musicales #4799037. Published by POLYHYMNIA Ediciones musicales (A0.1029293).

Perfil del ánima (Profile of the anima), Op. 86 is a solo cello piece written in a single movement. It is part of the series of PROFILES that I am composing since 2002 for solo instruments. The anima is a concept expounded by C.G. Jung in his book The Man and his Symbols. It is a personification of all female psychological tendencies in the psyche of a man, such as vague feelings and moods, prophetic forebodings, receptivity to the irrational, personal capacity for love, love of nature and, very importantly, his relationship with the unconscious. It is best perceived in dreams. If the dreamer is a man, he will discover a female personification of his unconscious. If it is a woman, it will be a male figure. Jung named them respectively anima and animus. My work has some quotes that evoke the anima, as a fragment of the 2nd movement of Mahler's 5th Symphony, which he wrote under the fascination of Alma Schindler, his future wife. Another citation is a motif of Dvořák’s opera Rusalka, an elf from Slavic mythology, which usually lives in a lake or river. Rusalka is an ancient fairy-tale figure, already appearing in literature in 1387. Her longing is to become a human being and to love as an earthly woman, even at the price of suffering and death. My piece evokes this inner and unconscious dialogue between the masculine and feminine in all of us, represented by the cello’s low and high registers. The use of many and varied instrumental resources (chords, microtones, harmonics, timbral variations, complex rhythms, tremolos, glissandi, pizzicati, etc.), together with its broadness and thematic complexity, make Profile of the anima a demanding work for the soloist. I finished its composition on December 21th, 2016. It is dedicated to Rafał Jezierski, who performed its world premiere on February 14th, 2017, in the Auditorium of the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, within the cycle of concerts organized by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos.

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL (simple) SONG I WROTE FOR MY MOM AND SISTER

To be clear, it is a prayer written in musical form. I guess that makes it a psalm.

A few nights ago I was feeling the pain of so many people around the globe who are suffering due to the pandemic. I was inspired to sit down and write an simple song of comfort for them-for us. The very same evening I started writing the song, unbeknownst to me, my sister was being taken to the hospital where she collapsed of heart failure and was life-flighted to the nearest cardiovascular facility.

They put her on life support (ECMO and ventilator) to let her heart and lungs rest. Two days later, due to complications with circulation in her leg she had to be rushed into emergency surgery to pull the catheter from the artery leading to her heart. This required taking her off of life support four days earlier than they had planned. We were informed she may not make it. Thanks to thousands of people praying for her, and her own indomitable spirit, she pulled through-but not without more complications.

A fever kicked in and lack of circulation in her other leg caused even more concern. Her heart and body were suffering greatly. As we prayed (and thousands of you from around the world prayed with us) I kept massaging and nuancing the exact melody line I wanted, at the same time interweaving various lyrics to intuit what felt right. I wanted this to be a song anyone could sing for their beloved family member or friend who was struggling. Every note, every syllable had to land just right-as if it was meant to be.

Through all this my mother was going through her own bit of personal anguish. We were basically waiting for my sister to die. Due to COVID regulations nobody, not even family, could visit her in ICU. My mother bought a plane ticket... just in case. We hoped beyond hope that, If she died, she would not die alone. I wanted to finish this song by Mother's Day to share with my mother and my dear struggling sister who is also a mother of 5. I finished it and sang it through tears on Mother's Day.

I have many friends show speak Spanish who are going through very difficult times due to COVID-19 and the subsequent quarantine. The second time through is a carefully crafted Spanish translation.

I hope to hear people singing this far and wide with, to and for each other.

While I was still in high school, the moment I first heard Holst’s suite,“The Planets,” it quickly became one of my favorite works of Classical music. “Mars, the Bringer of War,” the first movement of the suite, was easily my favorite followed by “Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity.” The nobility of the slow theme, which this arrangement is based on, resonated deep within my soul. Holst later used the theme to set to music a poem by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice:

I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,
Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love;
The love that asks no questions, the love that stands the test,
That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.

And there's another country, I've heard of long ago,
Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,
And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.

Small Ensemble Timpani,Trombone,Trumpet - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.977354

By Foster & Allen. By Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Arranged by Des McNutty. Contemporary. Score and parts. 20 pages. Des Press #6438147. Published by Des Press (A0.977354).

Part of the series: A Pulchritudinous Posy of Pleasing Party-Pieces

A few fancies for five-part natural trumpet ensemble with optional timpani. Plus three trombones.

At last: Some new repertoire for the historical natural trumpet!

This one-handed instrument was familiar to composers such as JS Bach, Handel, Telemann, Purcell, Vivaldi etc., but was largely neglected after the invention of valves in the early 19th century - and the subsequent invention of the nodal vent-hole systems in the late 20th-century - until recently, when the elusive lost art of clarino playing (in the fourth octave and above) was cracked by dedicated optimists such as Don L Smithers and JF Madeuf.

These arrangements are a stylistic departure from the trumpet's golden age of Baroque repertoire, featuring works well known in the 20th century, and provide excellent training for rhythmic precision, style, pitching and team playing. They're also fun, if you like that sort of thing.

Advice on tuning up the differently-pitched instruments and a technical tip are included.

The current regulations on SMP mean us little guys can only publish in-copyright works one at a time. So, you can collect them all and make yourself a tome!

These arrangements were originally written for Lunchtime Tower Music (weather permitting), at the Dartington International Summer School between roughly 2000 and 2010, for courses led by Michael Laird and David Staff. Such performances from the mediæval clock tower involved the various brass and other wind classes playing seriously with an informal atmosphere. Logistical issues, a narrow staircase and the ubiquitous Health-and-Safety regulations prevented the use of timpani on the tower but sometimes larger groups, and those involving vertigo sufferers, played in the courtyard instead.

These pieces are the opposite of playing Baroque music on modern, or postmodern instruments.

This arrangement of Happy Birthday was written in 2011 for Edward H Tarr's 75th birthday concert in Basel (CH). Ed conducted many pieces from the Charamela Real, mostly for trumpets in two different tonalities. Happy Birthday was slipped in the programme before the second encore without his knowledge. At his downbeat, he got quite a surprise.

By Stacey Plays Hymns. By Stacey Plays Hymns. Arranged by Anastace. Christian,Easter,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Accompaniment. Duration 120. Anastace #984267. Published by Anastace (A0.1401066).

Here is the full backup track for When My Love to Christ Grows Weak, as heard on my YouTube channel with all the other classic, beautiful hymns from the Lent collection. The lyrics are from a traditional hymn but I've written new music for it in a minor key to match the sombre mood. This recording is a perfect accompaniment track for either a beautiful solo during a church service or for a congregation to sing along with, led by a singer who has heard the recording and knows the song. The mp3 has no lead singer but harmonies and a few descants in the background, particularly in the end, as they are really part of the music and will help to make it a really moving, powerful song at any church service. This rare hymn is wonderful for Ash Wednesday or any time during the Lenten Season or even Good Friday, contemplating Christ's betrayal by Peter and all who give in to sin. Although it is very solemn and touches on many points about repentance and Christ's suffering, it ends on an uplifting note and leads us on to stronger faith in Him.

This song has a vocal range of Bb3-C5 and there is also sheet music in several keys available by searching Stacey Plays Hymns on this site. Please see Youtube video linked below for a demonstration of the entire piece.

Purchase includes a free license for one church service with under 300 people, with proper attribution and credit in any printed or online materials. For a license to use this work on a larger scale, please contact me for permission and other usage details including lyrics formatted for printing in church bulletins or for powerpoint. Please let me know if there is any other way I can serve you as a congregation or fellow music/choir director as I endeavour to write several new choral anthems per year, along with my other recording work.

Thank you for supporting modern hymnwriters and musicians!

Composed by Richard St. Clair. 20th Century,Contemporary. Octavo. 23 pages. Richard St. Clair #3002339. Published by Richard St. Clair (A0.939717).

This 9-minute motet in which the Buddha-to-be Dharmakara praises His master, Lokeshvaraja Buddha and vows to become the Savior of all Beings (namely, Amida Buddha). The music beings with an extended recitative/aria by solo soprano, and proceeds to the full choral ensemble to its conclusion. The MP3 Audio Clip is a computer-generated soundfile of the entire work. The music is completely tonal and traditional, suitable for good amateur choirs and professional choruses alike.

Words from the Larger Sutra on Amida Buddha expounded by Shakyamuni Buddha some 2500 years ago in India.

[Setting: Many ages ago, Dharmakara Bhikshu (in his stage before becoming Amida Buddha) declares to his Master, Buddha Lokeshvararaja, his intention to create a Pure Land wherein all suffering beings can be saved.]

Text (slightly abridged):

Then appeared a Buddha named Lokeshvararaja, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, Possessed of Wisdom and Practice, Perfected One, Knower of the World, Unsurpassed One, Tamer of Men, Master of Gods and Men, Buddha and World-Honored One.

At that time there was a king, who, having heard the Buddha's exposition of the Dharma, rejoiced in his heart and awakened aspiration for the highest, perfect Enlightenment. He renounced his kingdom and the throne, and became a monk named Dharmakara. Having superior intelligence, courage and wisdom, he distinguished himself in the world. He went to see the Tathagata Lokeshvararaja, knelt down at his feet, walked round him three times keeping him always on his right, prostrated himself on the ground, and putting his palms together in worship, praised the Buddha with these verses:

The shining face of the Buddha is glorious;
Boundless is his magnificence.
Radiant splendor such as his
Is beyond all comparison.
The sun, the moon and the mani-jewel,
Though shining with dazzling brightness,
Are completely dimmed and obscured
As if they were a pile of ink-sticks

The countenance of the Tathagata
Is beyond compare in the whole world.
The great voice of the Enlightened One
Resounds throughout the ten regions.
His morality, learning, endeavor,
Absorption in meditation, wisdom
And magnificent virtues have no equal;
They are wonderful and unsurpassed.

I resolve to become a Buddha,
Equal in attainment to you, O holy king of the Dharma,
To save living beings from birth-and-death,
And to lead them all to emancipation.
I vow that, when I have become a Buddha,
I shall carry out this promise everywhere;
And to all fear-ridden beings
Shall I give great peace.

Even though there are Buddhas,
A thousand million kotis in number,
And multiudes of great sages
Countless as the sands of the Ganges,
I shall make offerings
To all those Buddhas.
I shall seek the supreme Way
Resolutely and tirelessly.

Even though the Buddha-lands are as innumerable
As the sands of the Ganges,
And other regions and worlds
Are also without number,
My light shall shine everywhere,
Pervading all those lands.
Such being the result of my efforts,
My glorious power shall be immeasurable.

When I have become a Buddha,
My land shall be most exquisite,
And its people wonderful and unexcelled;
The seat of Enlightenment shall be supreme.
My land, being like Nirvana itself,
Shall be beyond comparison.
I take pity on living beings
And resolve to save them all.

Those who come from the ten quarters
Shall find joy and serenity of heart;
When they reach my land,
They shall dwell in peace and happiness.
I beg you, the Buddha, to become my witness
And to vouch for the truth of my aspiration.
Having now made my vows to you,
I will strive to fulfilll them.

The World-Honored Ones in the ten quarters
Have unimpeded wisdom;
I call upon those Honored Ones
To bear witness to my intention.
Even though I mu.
