Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1118521 Composed by Howard Blake. Arranged by Kevin Riley. 20th Century,Christmas,Film/TV. Score and parts. 53 pages. Kevin Riley #720042. Published by Kevin Riley (A0.1118521). Walking in the Air is a song written by Howard Blake for the 1982 animated film The Snowman based on Raymond Briggs' 1978 children's book of the same name. The song forms the centrepiece of The Snowman, which has become a seasonal favourite on British and Finnish television. The story relates the fleeting adventures of a young boy and a snowman who has come to life. In the second part of the story, the boy and the snowman fly to the North Pole. Walking in the Air is the theme for the journey. They attend a party of snowmen, at which the boy seems to be the only human until they meet Father Christmas with his reindeer, and the boy is given a scarf with a snowman pattern. In the film, the song was performed by St Paul's Cathedral choirboy Peter Auty, and reissued in 1985 (on Stiff Records) and 1987. In 1985, an altered version was recorded for use in a TV advertising campaign for Toys R Us. As Auty's voice had then broken, Blake recommended the then-14-year-old Welsh chorister Aled Jones, whose recording reached number five in the UK Singles Chart, and who became a popular celebrity on the strength of his performance. The association of the song with Jones, combined with Auty not being credited on The Snowman, led to a common misbelief that Jones performed the song in the film. Walking in the Air has subsequently been performed by over forty artists, in a variety of styles. In a UK poll in 2012, the Aled Jones version was voted 13th on the ITV television special The Nation's Favourite Christmas Song.

Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.951999 Composed by James Leith Macbeth Bain, John Hughes. Arranged by Steve Stanfill. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score. 4 pages. Steve Stanfill #6536431. Published by Steve Stanfill (A0.951999). This is an arrangement for organ of the Brother James Air and the Welsh Hymn tune of CWM RHONDDA.  It is suitable for postlude in a church setting, or as a solo rendition.  It is of intermediate difficulty and can be performed on a modest instrument.  Full AGO pedalboard is recommended.  Note that this piece is arranged as an aaba stanza arrangement rather than the original aab triple stanza tune most current interpretations use.  It just seemed better balanced to me to add the 4th stanza.Dedicated to my oldest son Michael, who loves this hymn tune.

Small Ensemble Flute,Harp,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797295 Arranged by Darhon Rees-Rohrbacher. Celtic,Folk. Score and parts. 66 pages. Afghan Press Music for the Harp #4800694. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp (A0.797295). Welsh airs used in this publication were collected by Edward Jones (1751-1824), harper to King George IV. Jones was a prolific collector and arranger of melodies and is best remembered for his three-volume work called Musical and Poetical Relicks of the Welsh Bards (1784-1802). The order of the music facilitates playing 2-4 tunes in succession as a Welsh medley. All tunes were typeset to fit exactly on two facing pages to eliminate any page turns within a piece. Some melodies were transposed from their original keys to better suit the range of the flute. Tunes may be taken up the octave where desired, such as on repeated sections. The harp range needed to play all of the accompaniments in this collection exactly as written is only 26 strings (C-G). There are no lever changes within pieces in this entire collection, only lever pre-sets. Table of Contents: Cnott y Coed (The Wood-Bunch), Tros y Garreg (Over the Rock), Crisial Ground (The Crystal Ground), Blodau y’ Gorllewin (Flowers of the West), Ffarwel Dic Bibydd (Dick the Piper’s Farewell), Agoriad Cywair (The Opening of the Key),Trichant o Bunnau (Three Hundred Pounds), Y Gŵr a’i Farch (The Man and His Horse), Mopsi Dôn: yr Hên Fford (Mopsy’s Tune: The Old Way), Yr Hên Rogero Bengoch (Old Roger Red Poll), Mwynen Machno (The Enjoyment of Machno), Tlysig (The Beauty), Cymro o B’le?
