This is a reworking of the composer's work for Brass Quintet (Fanfare a 5). Although playable by average third year players, this trio is musically strong enough to be performed by high school players and the quintet version has even been performed by professional quintets. Written for standard Brass Trio, Bb trumpet, horn in F, and trombone (or Euphonium), a Baritone T.C. part is also provided as an alternative to the trombone part.

These waltzes may be performed as a medley or separately. Three of the waltzes are very energetic, while the second waltz is best performed somewhat more slowly. Care has been made to include melodic phrases at times for all parts. 1st and 2nd parts alternate on most of the melody work, but 3rd and 4th also get chances to shine. The keys have been transposed to more appropriately fit the range of the flute. This would be an outstanding choice for a high school flute ensemble to perform at contest or recital work, and would brighten up a university or professional recital.
