This fine piece (originally for Horn and Orchestra - available on this site) exploits the full range of expression and virtuosity available to the modern horn player, without making it too difficult for most accomplished performers.

This arrangement enables another platform for this work to be performed on and, I think, transfers rather well!

Carl Heinrich Hübler (Wachwitz, near Dresden, 4 December 1822 – 14 April 1893) was the hornist in the Dresden Royal Court orchestra from 1844 until his retirement in 1891. He was appointed royal chamber musician in 1851 and 1886 was given the title chamber virtuoso, in recognition of his merits.

Carl Heinrich Hübler was born in Wachwitz, near Dresden on 4th December 1822 and was the horn player in the Dresden Royal Court orchestra from 1844 until his retirement in 1891.
This Caprice on the theme from Bellini's Souvenir de la Sonnambule is a delightful addition to the repertoire that deserves to be performed much more often and demonstrates Hübler's knowledge of orchestration as well as an intimate connection to the solo instrument.
He also wrote a Concerto for Four Horns after being inspired by hearing Schumann's Koncertstück for Four Horns in a private performance which Schumann attended. There is also a Horn Concerto.

Heinrich Domnich (1767 - 1844) was an accoomplished horn player, teacher, composer and author of an instruction book, his Méthode de Premier et de Second Cor.

This piece demonstrates a complete understanding of the possibilities for the instruments and performers of the time. It is both lively in the two outside movements and dramatic in the middle one. The orchestral writing is delightful and varied and the piece deserves to be performed regularly in the future.

Antonio Rosetti wrote a number of delightful concertos for horn. This one for 2nd Horn does not imply any lack of technique, just that players of the day were divided into high and low. This work lies in a comfortable range for most performers of the modern instrument while being suitably challenging to be interesting. The orchestra parts are well written and sound really well.

Print the parts double-sided including any title pages and the page turns will work.

This exciting duet is a Wagner-inspired version of an old Celtic-style hymn. Both parts will stretch the player to the limits of their instrument’s range, and includes 2-on-3 rhythms and chromatic runs. For different instrumentation, this arrangement is compatible with products S0. 523329 (B flat), S0. 523327 (alto clef), S0. 523325 (C), S0. 523323 (C bass clef), or S0. 523321 (E flat).

This would be the perfect contest piece for advanced high schoolers, or an energetic offertory for a church service. The song is approximately 2’30 in length and includes two parts and a piano score (10 pages total).

Although released on Seal’s eponymous second album Seal II (1994), ‘Kiss From A Rose’ was actually written back in 1987. Seal wasn’t overly fond of the song and hadn’t put it forward for his first album, but producer Trevor Horn got hold of it for the second album and turned the song into a track that sold 8 million copies worldwide.

It also garnered extra fame in 1995 when it was used as part of the soundtrack to the film Batman Forever, helping it top the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US and pushing back up to No.4 in the UK charts.
