Choral Choir (SAT) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1220100 Composed by William Finn. Arranged by Julian David Bryson. Broadway,Comedy,Musical/Show. Octavo. 15 pages. Julian Bryson Publishing #816464. Published by Julian Bryson Publishing (A0.1220100). The madcap complaints of a vengeful middle school spelling cabal come to life in this chaotic choral setting of Pandemonium from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  Faithful to the original Broadway cast recording, it is set in the original key with the saxophone licks transferred to vocal parts.  Perfect for ensembles with no basses!  The tenor part is high enough to be sung by Altos, just be sure you teach them how to belt!  This version was created for and premiered by the Jacksonville University Singers. We unleash the Pandemonium at 1:09:46 in the video below, and the music begins at 1:12:48.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1173633 Composed by Pasquale Cafaro. Arranged by Nicole Elyse DiPaolo. Classical,Early Music,Opera. Score. 7 pages. Nicole Elyse DiPaolo #773780. Published by Nicole Elyse DiPaolo (A0.1173633). Accessible Accompaniments is proud to present the first-ever modern-clef performing edition of Pasquale Cafaro’s once enormously popular aria, “Belle luci, che accendete,” from La disfatta di Dario (1756). As noted in Giorgio Sanguinetti’s The Art of Partimento and other sources, this aria was considered the ideal Galant-era (early Classical) example of aria writing in its day, and its theme was even painted onto pottery to be sold to tourists in Naples. While the aria was written for a castrato role, Alessandro, it is ideal for today’s young lyric coloratura sopranos who want to prepare for Mozart roles but wish to wait until they’ve found their mature vocal technique before tackling those roles. Additionally, because this La disfatta di Dario setting is a rarity and singers are unlikely to be hired for this role, it could be sung in transposition by young mezzos and other fachs without causing logistical issues like the need to produce orchestral parts in new keys.Other aspects of this aria that make it a welcome addition to the voice teacher’s library are its widespread orchestral doubling of the vocal line (something that will help students who are still working on intonation and support), its relatively short, Italian-language text for easy memorization and diction acquisition, and its straightforward textual content—it’s a love song. In audition situations, this aria will be enjoyable for panels to hear, and because they will be very unlikely to know the aria, they won’t be able to critique it as closely as they would critique an aria they know well. It should also be sight-readable by an audition pianist of middling skill, another important consideration in choosing audition repertoire. This new edition was engraved using Bernardo Mengozzi’s piano-vocal reduction from 1804, which preserves the soprano clef voice part and is not widely usable today, and I made some corrections to missing accidentals and articulations by cross-checking with the manuscript full score. Both are available at imslp.org. I also write out the appoggiatura executions and one potentially confusing polyrhythm on ossia staves to assist young singers/collaborative pianists who haven’t done much of this repertoire. About the Arranger behind Accessible Accompaniments Editions:Praised as a sensitive pianist and outstanding accompanist who delivers powerful interpretations, Nicole Elyse DiPaolo enjoys a multifaceted career as a sought-after collaborative pianist, educational composer, arranger, coach, private teacher, and adjunct music professor. Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1093534 By The Singers Unlimited. By Gene Puerling. Arranged by Gene Puerling. A Cappella,Contemporary,Jazz. Octavo. 11 pages. University of North Texas - Gene Puerling Collection #697595. Published by University of North Texas - Gene Puerling Collection (A0.1093534). This wordless, instrumentally-inspired piece was composed in May 1979 by Gene Puerling and recorded by The Singers Unlimited on their album “A Cappella III” (and contained in the “Magic Voices” box set). This is NOT a transcription, but an authentic edition created from the handwritten manuscript of Gene Puerling. The influence of Chick Corea is found in the simple repetitive harmonies and driving rhythms. Two vocalists are featured melodically throughout the piece (with melodic line inspired by Chuck Mangione, thus the mash-up name in the title!), with up to six parts in the ensemble vocal parts. More accessible than many other Puerling charts, this piece gives lots of opportunity to work on ensemble tuning and rhythmic vitality! (Level IV) [Note: The YouTube link below takes you to someone else's post of this copyrighted recording. Choral Choir,Choral - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844240 By Rick Nelson. By Ray Noble. Arranged by Gerhard Guter. Contemporary. 46 pages. Gerhard Guter #3860313. Published by Gerhard Guter (A0.844240). Very much influenced by Gene Puerling's writing for The Singers Unlimited, this chart is the perfect opener or closer; it packs an energy-packed punch from start to finish! The arrangement benefits from reharmonization, counterline, a challenging scat soil, and an instrumental writing approach to articulation. The soil (which can be taken at half-time for beginning-intermediate groups) sends off a piano solo, a return to introductory material, and an exciting conclusion. In addition to the chord chart versions, drums and fully-notated bass and piano (with a written example solo) parts are included. Your singers and band will have a blast with this barn-burner! Premiered at the University of North Texas/Addison Jazz Festival in 2007.  SSATTB + rhythm (piano/bass/drums) Backing tracks available here: http://tiny.cc/inosuz

Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.893242 Composed by Johnny Mandel. Arranged by Gene Puerling. A Cappella. Octavo. 9 pages. University of North Texas - Gene Puerling Collection #6495673. Published by University of North Texas - Gene Puerling Collection (A0.893242). This stunning a cappella ballad arrangement of the Johnny Mandel/Johnny Mercer song Emily was penned in 1971 for The Singers Unlimited and still holds up as one of the most beautiful Gene Puerling charts ever written!  It was recorded on their debut album, A Cappella (and contained in the Magic Voices box set). This is NOT a transcription, but an authentic edition created from the handwritten manuscript of Gene Puerling.  The majority of this piece is divided into six parts, with some four- and five-part sections with lush harmonies in a variety of textures, making this a rubato ballad-lovers delight!  (Level V) [Note: The YouTube link below takes you to someone else's post of this copyrighted recording.
