This arrangement is good for Billboard Hot 100-oriented gigs, piano bars, parties, etc. It provides advanced piano students an opportunity to work on syncopation, polyphony, leaps (left hand), crossing hands, and bi-textural finger coordination (the right hand executes both the melody and aspects of the accompanying harmony). Because the piece is contemporary, it may serve to motivate students who are interested in expanding beyond traditional piano repertoire. Listen to the original recording to get a sense of what's going on; minus a few changes that I deemed necessary to address technical issues, this arrangement follows the recording closely.
