Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1344909 Composed by Billy Rose, E.Y. Yip Harburg, and Harold Arlen. Arranged by Phyllis Love. Jazz,Standards. Score. 3 pages. Phyllis Love #923432. Published by Phyllis Love (A0.1344909). It's Only A Paper Moon for intermediate pianoHarold Arlen wrote this swing tune in 1932. Here is an upbeat arrangement where there's a rubato intro, which then proceeds to a very rhythmic, finger snapping beat, and actually sounds a lot harder than it is to play!Accessible enough for any intermediate performer, yet incredibly rewarding for even the most accomplished pianist. Phyllis Love's instrumental arrangements for jazz piano remain true to the original melodies, with inventive harmonies and dynamic rhythmic patterns perfect for solo players! Each is a tasty addition to your show set, whether it's a classic show tune or a Standard from the Great American Songbook.Check out these other Phyllis Love arrangements for students of jazz piano at the intermediate level:The Breeze and IThe Last Time I Saw ParisYesterdaysYou and the Night and the MusicWe'll Be Together AgainA Nightingale Sang In Berkeley SquareFalling In Love With LoveFor All We KnowI Thought About YouI'll Remember AprilI'm Old FashionedIt Might As Well Be SpringLove Walked InMona LisaOn the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa FeOnce In A WhileSummertimeSurrey With The Fringe On TopTenderlyThat Old Black MagicPhyllis Love is a professional jazz pianist in the New York City area who's appeared at storied venues including Windows on the World, Gramercy Park Hotel, and Mama Leone's. Small Ensemble Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565166 By Sharon Wilson. By Sharon Wilson. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Contemporary,Easter,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Wedding. Score. 13 pages. Sharon Wilson #3504317. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565166). This Scripture song based on Psalm 51 verses 10-12 is formatted as a vocal solo with piano accompaniment (3 staff piano-vocal score). This solo arrangement is written in the key of F major and has a vocal range of one octave, from middle C to high C (C4 to C5). The purchase price includes a 6-page combined score plus a 2-page solo score and a 4-page piano accompaniment score. This Psalm is a prayer of King David and presented here for meditation and reflection, drawing the listeners into an atmosphere of prayer and recommitment. The simplicity of the melody allows the soloist to focus on the words and vocal dynamics as the audience is drawn to the beauty of God's Word expressed musically.Though the piece is written for voice it also makes a beautiful instrumental piece with a C-instrument playing the solo part (such as the violin). For the violin, all notes can be played in the first position on the G, D, and A strings making this an excellent selection for a beginning violin student. The lyrics were adapted from the King James Version (KJV) and the World English Version (WEB) and are printed below:Lyrics:Create in me a clean heart, O God.Renew a right spirit within me.Cast me not away from Thy presence, O Lord; And take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; And uphold me with Thy willing spirit. Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto Thee.Create in me a clean heart, O God.Renew a right spirit within me.Cast me not away from Thy presence, O Lord; And take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.Create in me a clean heart, O God.Visit Sharon Wilson’s website: www.SharonWilsonMusic.comSubscribe to her YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/user/SharonWilsonMusic

Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1308790 Composed by Charles Tenet. Arranged by Tobi Crawford. Jazz. Set of parts. 10 pages. Tobi Crawford #898036. Published by Tobi Crawford (A0.1308790). *THIS ACCOMPANIES THE VOCAL ARRANGEMENT* This arrangement came to me over a number of weeks in a very organic way that began with the ostinato piano figure that prevails throughout the piece. I began playing it unattached to any tune and I just liked the way the line descended in the left hand and how I had to find voicings in the right hand that made harmonic sense – like a puzzle. As I was playing around with this puzzle, thoughts of my father were swirling around in my head – I was at the end of a 4 year period of separation from my parents owing to the fact that I’m a Canadian expat living in the US and the borders were closed for a long time because of Covid, and then I had work visa issues and my parents were getting older before my eyes. They were also losing friends to cancer and other ailments and my dad, in particular, had experienced the loss of many close family members and friends during our separation and it was taking a toll. One day I sat down and played the now familiar-to-me ostinato but randomly I started to sing “Beyond the Sea” over it and it fit perfectly. I thought it a happy coincidence. As the days went on I committed to putting my ostinato with Beyond the Sea and the lyrics started to seep into my brain. I have, of course, heard these lyrics many times before, (who hasn’t seen Finding Nemo?) but the lyrics didn’t mean what I thought they meant… They’re NOT about the ocean, they are about my dad!!! Well, kind of… I realized, through careful reflection and by slowing the words down, that the lyrics are talking about a person in heaven who is patiently waiting for their partner to join them. Somewhere beyond the seaShe’s there watching for me…It’s far beyond the starsIt’s near beyond the moon And the lyrics end with them meeting, “We’ll meet beyond the shore, we’ll kiss just like before,” and the song ends with: “and never again I’ll go sailing.” It’s like the big bang went off in my head about why all these thoughts of my dad, and his friends, and this arrangement, and what it all meant suddenly just MADE SENSE and I was able to start formulating a plan. Performance Suggestions: The improvisation solo in the middle should be free of any traditional “scat syllables” and should be more of a lament. Listen to singers like Aubrey Johnson improvise on ballads for inspiration. An idea for that improv section might be to have a male singer start the improv, then a female singer joins (as if together in heaven) then they sing letter F together (warning: will cause tears…). All solo sections do not have to be sung as written – soloists can take liberties with the melody as the spirit moves.

Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1156205 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 43 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #756519. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1156205). This is the seventeenth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Folk Songs For Classical Guitar - Volume 17 (Songs 433-459)I Love My LoveI must live all aloneI saw a maidenI will Give my Love an AppleI will give you the keys of Heaven (Cheshire)I wish I was Single AgainI wish I wish 1 (My True Love Once He courted Me 1)I wish I wish 2 (My True Love Once He courted Me 2)I wish I wish 3 (My True Love Once He courted Me 3)I wish I wish 4 (My True Love Once He courted Me 4)I Wonder as I WanderI’ll Build Myself A Gallant ShipI’ll Mount the Air on Swallow’s Wings [The Loyal Lover]I’ll Tell You of a FellowI’m a Man that’s done wrong to my ParentsI’m A’ Doon For Lack of JohnnieI’se the B’y That Builds the BoatI’ve Set My Face For Zion’s KingdomIn a British Man O’ WarIn Bethlehem CityIn Good King Arthur’s Time (King Arthur’s Servants)In My Father’s GardenIn Nightly StillnessIron Horse (THE)Isle of DreamsIt’s of a farmer all in the town.
