Brass Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767318 Composed by Mike Lyons. Concert,Contemporary. Score and parts. 46 pages. Lyons Music Services #3465944. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767318). This is a brand new work for brass quartet, using brass band instrumentation: Cornet (doubling Flugelhorn), Tenor Horn, Baritone Horn and Euphonium. It was written as a submission for a new brass quartet (A4 Brass Quartet) comprising musicians from the RNCM, but didn't get selected. Each movement is based on the ensemble's name and contains a pun on A4. Each movement also has fourths involved in it somewhere. The first movement is called Aforethought (because it contains my initial ideas) and it uses a mixture of tonal and quartal harmonies. Melodies and harmony are based around fourths and fifths. It requires all players to be able to flutter-tongue. After the opening fanfare, there is a march-like melody on the cornet, accompanied by the rest of the ensemble. This is followed by a contrasting tune using intervals of a fourth. These ideas are developed over several keys until the first march-like melody returns. The fanfare idea closes the movement. The second movement is called Aforementioned. It takes its ideas from the first movement, but gives them a bluesy style. The cornet player changes to the flugelhorn for this movement which has a beautiful languid melody. The horn shares some of the glory towards the end.The third and final movement is called Aphorhythm (A4 rhythm) and is in 7/8 time. The jerky little melody plays with the pulse of the 7/8 and smoothly morphs into a steadier 'middle 8' section before reprising the opening music.Altogether, this is an enjoyable and exciting piece for brass quartet..

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.835098 Composed by Cody Weinmann. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Instructional. Score. 5 pages. Cody Weinmann #3384745. Published by Cody Weinmann (A0.835098). Here is Dreams Don't End originally for piano. This is the piano version of this piece. There is an orchestral version coming out soon. If you want a jaw-dropping piece that will cause tear-jerking reactions at concerts, recitals, and even in student piano study, buy this piece! It has a little Romantic era flavor going on which will keep people listening. Think of Rachmaninoff's piano concerto or some of the later work by Beethoven and you'll be home. It is for early intermediate piano players at the earliest.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB divisi) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1349490 By Sam Smith. By Ed Sheeran, Fred Gibson, James Napier, Johnny McDaid, Samuel Frederick Smith, and Steve Mac. Arranged by Jacob Klingsten. 21st Century,A Cappella,Contemporary,Singer/Songwriter. 16 pages. Jacob Klingsten #934182. Published by Jacob Klingsten (A0.1349490). Who We Love by Sam Smith is a moving ballad that has beautiful harmonic integrity. This arrangement is for average- to larger-sized SATB a cappella groups, and sits at a intermediate-advanced difficulty for high school/collegiate groups. This arrangement is similarly for the a cappella group looking to explore cluster chords while fulfilling a slow, but moving ballad slot for your song set. While there isn’t a vocal percussionist part in the score, there is a slight amount of body percussion involved in the second verse, which can be replaced by a vocal percussionist if desired. This arrangement features incredible harmonies, including many cluster chords that sound full and rich; these cluster chords are often met with two- and occasionally three-part splits within each voice part, which makes it crucial for each part to be solid. If your group does not have enough members to satisfy the three-part splits, one of the notes can be omitted for a similar sounding product. Additionally, there are two solo opportunities featured, each with the exact same range. If only one solo is desired, the soloist can simply follow the melody. Finally, this arrangement also has a unique ending -- instead of ending on the four (IV) chord, like in the original recording, the final progression resolves to the tonic with a tear-jerking minor four (iv) to one (I). Additional Details: Key: B major 16 Pages Length: 2m 50s Ranges: Solos 1/2: F#3-G#5 Soprano: C#4-D#5 Alto: A#3-F#4 Tenor: F#3-C#4 Bass: F#2-F#3 (optional notes between B1 and E#2) If you would like the score changed to fit your ensemble's needs, the practice tracks to this piece once purchased, or if you are looking to have a new arrangement commissioned for your ensemble, please let Jacob Klingsten, the arranger, know at jacobkarranging@gmail.com. He will change the score to your needs (within reason) and provide practice tracks at no additional charge to your purchase, and he typically charges $50-75 per commissioned arrangement. Jacob would love to work with you and your ensemble!

Choral Choir - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1180186 By Mike + The Mechanics. By BA Robertson and Michael Rutherford. Arranged by B Fleet. Pop,Spiritual. Octavo. 14 pages. Barbara Fleet #780102. Published by Barbara Fleet (A0.1180186). This arrangement requires a very competent soloist, either Alto or lower Soprano (or a little group of very good soloists). I have transcribed all the intricacies of the solo from the original recording. The choir come in on the first chorus and everyone gets a bit of the main melody insome of the verses. The choir parts aren't too hard or wide ranging but it is a very satisfying sing for everyone. The Sopranos get some nice high notes in the chorus which they will enjoy. It works very well with just female voices without the Bass part. Be warned, it's a real tear jerker but a beautiful song about how we should tell people how we love them, whilst they are still here. This arrangement is in B flat, a tone higher than the original. Please give the video a watch.
