Composer: F.Chopin

(There are individual differences in level)
*with part score
*This is an arrangement of the 1st edition.

This first version is an arrangement in which the cello plays the melody. The end is not the end of the 24 tuplet, but the end that appears first (not a tuplet).

In the second version, the melody is passed from the cello to the piano in the middle. In the final 24-tuplet, the piano becomes the main melody, and there is a part where the cello harmonizes. Only the last six notes of the 24th note are played by three instruments, each eighth note.

Please choose according to your preference.

I arranged Chopin's famous piece into a piano trio. Please take this opportunity to try it.

Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Chamber,Children,Instructional,Romantic Period. Educational Exercises. 64 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #711611. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1109067).

The Twelve Pieces for Two Cellos, containing National Songs & Fugues, Op. 156 by J. J. F. Dotzauer (1783—1860) are possibly the most enjoyable duet collection of the five. Six pieces are fugues, and six are national airs, masterfully arranged for two cellos. Among them we even find the French national anthem, labelled “La Marseillaise ou la Caramagnoleâ€, whose story I had a lot of fun unearthing. All duets are written in bass clef, even if one of them goes up to the sixth position. They are perfect for student concerts or just for learning a few beautiful popular songs, all while travelling the world. From Ireland to Boemia, from France to Scotland, it will be an unforgettable journey! This edition is offered in two versions, Original & Collector’s Edition. The Original version is available in either of the following variants: score only, parts only, and score & parts. It is based on the first edition published by Dotzauer at Breitkopf & Härtel in 1839. The Collector’s Edition adds the new edition of these pieces appeared in the 1890s under the revision of Carl Hüllweck (1852—1910), as well as the first duet as it appears in the 57 Little Duets compiled by Johannes Klingenberg (1852—1905). Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Children,Instructional,Opera,Romantic Period. Educational Exercises. 66 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #726403. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1125668).

The Twelve Original Pieces for Two Cellos, dedicated to beginners, Op. 63, by J. J. F. Dotzauer (1783—1860) is a most colourful collection, containing a spicy mix of arias from famous operas, original themes, and fugues. The arias are mostly from W. A. Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito, and G. Rossini’s Tancredi, with a theme and variation from The Magic Flute crowning them all. Even without employing the thumb, these pieces are challenging, and should not be underestimated. They explore all seven positions, making this the most well-rounded collection of the five (Opp. 52, 58, 156, 159), and a must-have for all cello students. This edition comes in two versions, Original & Collectors’ Edition. The Original version is available in either of the following variants: score only, parts only, and score & parts. It is based on the first edition published by Dotzauer at Breitkopf & Härtel in 1823. The Collector’s Edition adds the new edition of these pieces appeared in the 57 Little Duets compiled by Johannes Klingenberg (1852—1905), and in the early XX century edition by Alwin Schöder (1855—1928). Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Chamber,Instructional,Romantic Period,Traditional. Score. 44 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #757087. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1156756).

The Russian Air with Twenty Variations for Cello Solo, accompanied by a Second Cello, Op. 32, by J. J. F. Dotzauer (1783—1860), was composed and published around 1815. It is one of the many set of variations written upon the theme “Їхав козак за Дунай†(“The Cossack rode beyond the Danubeâ€) during the second decade of the XIX century, others including those by Beethoven and Hummel. Despite the title, the theme is of Ukrainian origin but, at the time of its diffusion in Europe, under a German disguise, the region that is now Ukraine was part of the Russian Empire. The language of the text makes its origin unmistakable today. After a fascinating slow Introduction, the theme comes and is followed by twenty variations, most of which requiring great virtuosity. This is a concert piece, lasting anywhere between 14 and 24 minutes according to whether repeats will be played or not. An outstanding variety of techniques is employed, making this a true challenge for even the most gifted players. This edition is based on the oldest surviving source, the first edition by Friedrich Hofmeister. It corrects the most glaring mistakes, and adds notes where ambiguity arises. This edition is dedicated to Yuriy Leonovich.

SKU: A0.1042144

Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Carl Hüllweck. Children,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. Educational Exercises. 112 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #646942. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1042144).

The Twenty-four Exercises for Two Cellos, Op. 159, by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer, continue and conclude the series dedicated to the neck positions. These, alongside the just published Twelve Original Pieces, Op. 58, cover the first four positions in all possible variations, using an incredible richness of forms, melody, harmony, and rhythm. After these thirty-six little gems, your students will be able to face much greater challenges with renewed strength and assertiveness. While Op. 58 focused mostly on Theme with Variations, Op. 159’s most used form is the rounded binary one, while no less than three full-fledged fugues enrich the practicing landscape. Due to the lack of the original manuscript, lost during Steiner & Bell’s acquisition of Augener & Co., this edition is based on two surviving editions, by Carl Hüllweck and Johannes Klingenberg, both published in the first decade of the XX century, about 40 years after Dotzauer’s passing. To provide you with the greatest flexibility and choice possibilities, this edition comes in several versions (only C available here, others available on Gumroad): - A: a score only one, based on Hüllweck; - B: two separate sets of parts, one per editor; - C: a score & parts bundle, based once more on Hüllweck; - D: finally, a Collector’s Edition, containing all this, plus a long chapter comparing all differences between Hüllweck’s and Klingenberg’s versions, and an interactive PDF where, at the press of a button, you will be able to switch to the other version of the current part! All PDFs have been optimised to be of the highest Press Quality and lightweight. I truly hope you are going to enjoy this beautiful music and that your cello playing will reach new heights thanks to it!

Composed by David Popper. 19th Century,Classical,Romantic Period. Score. 46 pages. Paladino Editions #872844. Published by Paladino Editions (A0.1281503).

This is infectious, vibrant and dazzling music well within the grasp of any advanced cello student, and a must for professionals. A new, clean, modern score shows Popper’s own original bowings and fingerings, while the parts (edited by Alexander Hülshoff and Martin Rummel) suggest a modern approach to performance. The suite comprises five movements that progress through popular dance types and character pieces. A Tempo di Marcia, originally published separately, but included in this edition for the first time alongside the suite it was written to conclude, provides an effective and simpler alternative finale.

Composed by Giuseppe Giordani. Arranged by César Madeira. Barbershop,Children,Classical,Film/TV,Wedding. Score. 4 pages. Sheet Music To Play Editions #778579. Published by Sheet Music To Play Editions (A0.1178616).

Caro Mio Ben (Come Once Again) by Giuseppe Giordani. Arrangement for Violoncello Duet. With Full Score and Individual Parts. Enjoy it!

Giuseppe Tommaso Giovanni Giordani (1751 - 1798) was an Italian composer, mainly of opera. Giordani's parents were Domenico Giordani and Anna Maria Tosato. He studied music in Naples with Domenico Cimarosa and Niccolò Antonio Zingarelli. In 1774 he was appointed as music director of the chapel of the Duomo of Naples. His first opera (L'Epponina) was released in 1779. His sacred drama La distruzione di Gerusalemme was a notable success at the Teatro San Carlo of Naples in 1787. He became maestro di cappella at the Cathedral of Fermo in 1791. Until recently, the popular aria Caro Mio Ben (1783) was ascribed to Giuseppe Tommaso Giovanni Giordani. However, scholars now consider Tommaso Giordani, or his father Giuseppe Giordani senior, more likely to be the aria's composer.
