Cellos - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1109067 Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Chamber,Children,Instructional,Romantic Period. Educational Exercises. 64 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #711611. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1109067). The Twelve Pieces for Two Cellos, containing National Songs & Fugues, Op. 156 by J. J. F. Dotzauer (1783—1860) are possibly the most enjoyable duet collection of the five. Six pieces are fugues, and six are national airs, masterfully arranged for two cellos. Among them we even find the French national anthem, labelled “La Marseillaise ou la Caramagnoleâ€, whose story I had a lot of fun unearthing. All duets are written in bass clef, even if one of them goes up to the sixth position. They are perfect for student concerts or just for learning a few beautiful popular songs, all while travelling the world. From Ireland to Boemia, from France to Scotland, it will be an unforgettable journey! This edition is offered in two versions, Original & Collector’s Edition. The Original version is available in either of the following variants: score only, parts only, and score & parts. It is based on the first edition published by Dotzauer at Breitkopf & Härtel in 1839. The Collector’s Edition adds the new edition of these pieces appeared in the 1890s under the revision of Carl Hüllweck (1852—1910), as well as the first duet as it appears in the 57 Little Duets compiled by Johannes Klingenberg (1852—1905). Cello Duet Cello - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1136042 Composed by Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Christian,Religious,Renaissance,Sacred. Score. 4 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #736068. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1136042). This easy arrangement for violoncello duet has been adapted to be simple to perform and understand, adapted for various levels of musical knowledge; from beginners to music professionals. It can be played freely due to the ease built into the piece in relation to the author's suggested interpretation. Recommended for performances at Christian ceremonies and liturgical events in churches, it also serves as a study of the Renaissance repertoire. A Mighty Fortress Is Our God or Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott is a hymn written by Martin Luther probably before 1529. The melody was also considered his work for a long time, but it was created at least with the collaboration of Johann Walter. The song is of great symbolic power for Protestantism; where it is also known as Deus noster refugium et virtus. Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

Cello Duet Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.591285 Composed by David McKeown. Easter,Latin,Pop,R & B,Rock. Score. 3 pages. David McKeown #6290899. Published by David McKeown (A0.591285). The Chocolate Chalypso is a fun and original duet written by David McKeown for two Cellos. Chocolate Chalypso is one in a series of ten Easter-themed duets each written in a different American dance style. In the late ‘50s just a handful of national TV shows in the US had a huge influence on the music and dance crazes of the time. Artists and dances came and went with dizzying speed. Chalypso was a short-lived craze in 1958 that combined the music of the new Rock’n’Roll with much-simplified steps borrowed from Cha Cha and Calypso; and no sooner had it caught on than it was itself supplanted by The Twist. Chocolate Chalypso is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above, with the accessible key and range balanced by some syncopated rhythms and accidentals. With a playing-time of around one and a half minutes, Chocolate Chalypso is a perfect upbeat addition to any performance program, formal or informal. Cello Duet Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588506 Composed by David McKeown. 20th Century,Concert,Latin,World. Score. 6 pages. David McKeown #5792903. Published by David McKeown (A0.588506). Tango d’Elinora is an exciting original composition by David McKeown, arranged as a duet for two Cellos. This duet is written in the style of early twentieth century Tango music. Tango first appeared as in the late nineteenth century in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but it wasn’t long before the dance craze spread to North America and Europe. Performers like Carlos Gardel were the international superstars of their day. More recently the Nuevo Tango of Astor Piazzolla and others has pushed the boundaries and ensured that Tango is still a vibrant art form today. If you play to an intermediate standard and upwards, then you and your audience will enjoy this piece. Rhythms should be lightly articulated with the first beat in the bar always strong; the melody should always flow and following the articulation in the score will help convey the style. Tango d’Elinora has a performance time of just under three minutes. Cello Duet Cello - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1202681 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Instructional,March,Opera,Romantic Period. Score. 8 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #801446. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1202681). This arrangement adapted for violoncello duo was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, that is, inspiring and significant to the already known choral symphony by Beethoven, indicated to be performed by young music students, who want to enter the symphonic music, moreover, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change in key, so that it is comfortable for all instruments in the formation, thus maintaining the essence of the striking melody, as well as using it for ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions.Beethoven's Ninth Symphony Op. 125 incorporates part of the poem An die Freude (To Joy), a hymn written by Friedrich Schiller, with the text sung by soloists and a choir in its last movement. It was the first example of a major composer using the human voice as prominently as the instruments in a symphony, thus creating a far-reaching work that set the tone for the symphonic form that was to be adopted by Romantic composers. This is the last complete symphony composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. The choral symphony, better known as the Ninth Symphony or The Ninth, is one of the best known works in the Western repertoire, considered both an icon and predecessor of Romantic music, and one of Beethoven's great masterpieces, where it was first performed on May 7, 1824, the same year it was completed, at the Kärntnertortheater in Vienna, Austria. The conductor was Michael Umlauf, the theater's music director, and Beethoven - dissuaded from conducting by the advanced stage of his deafness - was given a special place on the stage next to the conductor. It was later rearranged by Herbert von Karajan to become the anthem of the European Union in 1972, the national anthem of Rhodesia from 1974 until 1979, Rise, O Voices of Rhodesia, used the tune Ode to Joy.
