A Swim in the River is from Bartok’s collection, For Children, which was composed for piano. It is based on a Slovakian folksong. Besides being a great teaching piece for the instrumentalist, it is just as valuable for study from a compositional point of view. Thank you for looking.

2018 Holiday Contest Entry
The famous Traditional English Carol is here arranged for two Early Intermediate level Violoncellos. At a little over a minute in duration, this carol will make an impressive contribution to a holiday recital or social event. Naturally, it's ideal for any and all church functions during which younger or less-experienced players may participate. Fashioned after the early intermediate level character pieces found the famous Anna Magdalena Bach books, the melody is accompanied by an original counterpoint. The repetition (second verse) of the carol allows each instrument to play the counterpoint.

The Romance Op.5 is pure Tchaikovsky at his most Romantic - Lyrical, Passionate & very Dramatic! It is a beautiful work and lends itself very successfully to 2 Cellos and Piano as the interaction of the instruments really heightens the emotions.
Highly recommended.

Originally from Glasgow, Timothy studied at the Royal College of Music, London and the Banff Centre, Canada. He was the Pianist for the Isis Piano Trio and Ballet Creations and is now in demand as an accompanist and chamber musician having performed with artists such as Dame Sarah Connolly and Tasmin Little. He has toured widely internationally and has recorded for BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM as well as TV appearances in Russia and Egypt. Murray’s compositions have been recorded by The Fibbonnaci Sequence and Piers Lane among others with reviews such as ‘Corruscating’ (Independent) and ‘Highly imaginative’ (The Sunday Times).
