The composition Cantus was written for brass quartet. The title is Latin for āsong and is dedicated to my wife and best friend, Betty. Cantuswas inspired by Psalm 40:3.
It is my hope that Cantus will provide musicians with a song that they will enjoy learning to play, and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.
