It is given my own special treatment, where the melody is shared around the ensemble with added embellishments. The bass line becomes a walking bass a la Bach and the music keeps on moving forward. As an aside, it became famous as the theme of the film Empire of the Sun about the Japanese during WWII. The  producers thought the title Suo Gan sounded like Shogun. I kid you not!

Published by Philip Brink (A0.961342). This piece began as the third movement of a work composed for the faculty Brass Quintet at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. It's a lively piece with fast moving action in the outer sections for all parts; the middle section keeps up the active playing for trumpets and trombones while letting the horn sing the flowing melody in slower rhythm.
