Score and parts. 25 pages. RayThompsonMusic #6455715. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.554008). Romanian Folk Dances  Sz. 56, BB 68 is a suite of six short piano pieces composed by Béla Bartók in 1915. He later orchestrated it for small ensemble in 1917 as Sz. 68, BB 76.It is based on seven Romanian tunes from Transylvania, originally played on fiddle or shepherd's flute. The original name for the piece was titled Romanian Folk Dances from Hungary but was later changed by Bartók when Transylvania became part of Romania in 1920. It is nowadays available in the 1971 edition which is written with key signatures although Bartók rarely ever used key signatures. This set of dances consists of six movements and, according to the composer, it should take four minutes and three seconds to perform, but most professional pianists take up to five minutes. The list of the movements is as follows (with the original Hungarian title listed first, the most commonly known Romanian title second, and the English translation in parentheses):

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844975 Composed by Robert Schumann. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 8 pages. Phil Beaman #6039387. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844975). In 1848 Robert Schumann wrote a set of piano pieces for his daughters which he called Album for the Young. One of those pieces was titled Northern Song. I have divided the thick original piano chords into an Instrumental Quintet. When playing this song use your ears to make sure every note of the chord is equally blended and balanced amongst all instruments in your ensemble. The final product is a clean, pleasant recital piece that is not too difficult but sounds rich and more advanced.

Manual of Arms Polka for Bugle with Brass Quintet by Claudio Grafulla arranged by Jari Villanueva.Bugle in Bb and Brass Quintet. Full score and parts including extra sub parts for Eb Alto Horn and Baritone TCClaudio S. Grafulla (1810-80) was an outstanding bandmaster mostly known to bandsmen as the composer of The Grand March and Washington Greys. He was known also as a talented arranger and during the war was director of the 7th Regimental Band of the New York State Militia (N.Y.S.M) in New York. This band was considered a pace-setter not only for military but also popular music. Manual of Arms Polka was written for the 7th Regiment in 1862 and incorporates the bugle signals of Assembly, Shoulder Arms, Right Face, Left Face, Right About Face, and Fix Bayonets. Some of these calls are not found in the regulation drill manuals of the day and may have been exclusive to the 7th Regiment.  The last section includes the song Comrades Touch the Elbow. This was the song of the 9th Company, 7th Regiment, N.Y.S.M. The song describes how Soldiers would touch the elbow to steady their nerves as they moved forward together in battle.  Touch the elbow now, my boys! Comrades, touch the elbow I Nerve the arm, and banish fear, And, comrades, touch the elbow

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.802564 Composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Contemporary. Score and parts. 17 pages. Peet du Toit #5793495. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802564). Sergei Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C-sharp minor, Op. 3, No. 2, is one of the composer's most famous compositions. Part of a set of five piano pieces entitled Morceaux de fantaisie, it is a 62-bar prelude in ternary (ABA) form. It is also known as The Bells of Moscow since the introduction seems to reproduce the Kremlin's most solemn carillon chimes. Its first performance was by the composer on 26 September 1892, at a festival called the Moscow Electrical Exhibition. After this première, a review of the concert singled out the Prelude, noting that it had aroused enthusiasm. From this point on, its popularity grew. This work was one of the first the 19‑year‑old Rachmaninoff composed as a Free Artist, after he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory on 29 May 1892. He performed this new work for the first time at one of the concerts of the Moscow Electrical Exhibition on 26 September 1892. It was printed the following year as the second of five Morceaux de fantaisie (Op. 3), all dedicated to Anton Arensky, his harmony teacher at the Conservatory. Because at the time Russia was not party to the 1886 Berne Convention, Russian publishers did not pay royalties, so the only financial return he ever received for this piece was a 40 ruble (about two months' wage of a factory worker) publishing fee.The prelude has been arranged for orchestra in several versions. It has been used in many films, and many songs have sampled it. I thought it would sound great on brass instruments if played well. Well, here it is for you to play well. Enjoy!

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.802657 Composed by Ray Egan, Roy K Marsh & Paul Whiteman, and Tom Pitts. Arranged by Dudley E Bayford & Peet du Toit. Contemporary. Score and parts. 8 pages. Peet du Toit #6216933. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802657). This Quick-Step piece was recorded by Judy Garland in 1943 by Decca Records on her Second Souvenir album. The quickstep is a light-hearted dance of the standard ballroom dances. The movement of the dance is fast and powerfully flowing and sprinkled with syncopations. The upbeat melodies that quickstep is danced to make it suitable for both formal and informal events. Quickstep was developed in the 1920s in New York City and was first danced by Caribbean and African dancers. Its origins are in combination of slow foxtrot combined with the Charleston, a dance which was one of the precursors to what today is called swing dancing. This dance gradually evolved into a very dynamic one with much movement on the dance floor, with many advanced patterns including hops, runs, quick steps with much momentum, and rotation. The tempo of quickstep dance is rather brisk, as it was developed to ragtime era jazz music, which is fast-paced when compared to other dance music. The quickstep is elegant like the foxtrot and should be smooth and glamorous. The dancers should appear to be very light on their feet. It is very energetic and form-intensive. The quickstep is danced to 4/4 music of 48-52 measures per minute.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.931210 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Alessandro Macrì. Classical,Concert,Graduation. Score and parts. 20 pages. Music Macri Editions #3640387. Published by Music Macri Editions (A0.931210).
