This arrangement, in the key of F major, preserves most of Gottfried Reiche's original Abblasen, but the arranger has added a second trumpet part in which the first and second trumpets alternate the melody, then play in parallel thirds. The French horn, trombone and tuba serve as harmonic punctuation marks until the end when the full group ends together. This version is accessible to high school players. The trumpets should prepare their parts before adding the horn, trombone, and tuba that could perform their parts with one rehearsal. The format is a two page score with all five instruments visible all the players.
