This partly derivative work was written in 2024 and centers around Fumeux Fume par fumée, a secular song praising smoking, is a product of the Ars Subtillior school in France, the so-called 'avant-garde' of the 14th century. The composers of this time and place using neume notation witnessed and survived the Black Plague.
