Description: This is my transcription of Andante Grazioso by British composer, Henry Smart (1813-1879).  Henry Smart was a British composer, organist, and conductor born in London in 1813. Smart was primarily known for his church music and hymns, which earned him the nickname of the “Father of English Church Music.� He began his musical career as a choirboy at the Chapel Royal and studied under notable composers like Thomas Attwood and Cipriani Potter.

This old hymn is most often sung to the tune LANCASHIRE, which was written in 1835 by Henry T. Smart for the 300th anniversary of the Reformation in England, held in Blackburn, Lancashire.
