Brass Ensemble,Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1509283 Composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Arranged by Shinya Ishida. Broadway,Film/TV,Halloween,Latin,Musical/Show,Reggae. 19 pages. BitNotes.jp #1084535. Published by BitNotes.jp (A0.1509283). Remember Me is the main theme song from Disney/Pixar's 2017 movie Coco. It plays a key role in the film, being performed by several characters, including the main cast, and is also used as the ending theme. The song was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the husband-and-wife duo behind Disney's hit movie Frozen. This arrangement is for brass quintet, with a lively Latin feel inspired by the ending theme. It also includes an optional drum part, making it perfect for encore pieces or pops concerts. We hope you'll enjoy performing it!Additionally, a transposed E flat version of the Horn (in F) part is included. This allows for flexibility in performance, such as using an Alto Horn in brass bands or an Alto Saxophone for performances with wind ensembles or fanfare bands.

Brass Quintet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1489511 Composed by Dr. Daniel N. Thrower. 21st Century,Chamber,Historic,Patriotic,Pop. 38 pages. Https://gildedmusicpress.com/ #1066374. Published by https://gildedmusicpress.com/ (A0.1489511). In 2022 the United States Air Force celebrated 75 years of air and space dominance since its creation in 1947.  The festivities and ceremonies surfaced throughout the nation all year.  This composition was crafted as one of those celebratory creations.  “Legacy of Valor” was originally composed for brass quintet and rock band, with two vocalists singing a stirring account of legacy handed down from one generation to another.  The lyrics are here:In my youth, I knew a manWho loved to talk about his history;Unfolded his mystery! He made me laugh about some things,And we cried about some others,And we prayed as we talked about his fallen brothers. As I grew, I though a lotAbout that man who told me stories—His woes and his glories.Something firm about his voiceInspired my skill to make a choice,To recall our defenders’ valiant sacrifice. As I wanted to be like this man,As I pondered and dreamedOf becoming what I can,I hoped to see the day, without delay,To defend, like my friend! When I took the oath,I remembered that man!How proud he would beOf his brand new Airman!I answered the call.I’ll give it my all!I will not falter!  I will not fail!I’m a guardian of the tradition of honor!Fly, fight, and win! When I hold my little boy,And think of freedoms he’ll enjoy,I ponder his destiny.Yes, it’s hard when I deploy! But distance cannot destroyWhat I love; what I fight so very hard to save!Generations come and go.I wish they all could knowHow it feels to serve America. The piece was difficult for the singers, but they practiced hard, and the USAF Heartland of America Band premiered it during an Independence Day concert tour in June and July 2022, including the grand patriotic concert at Mount Rushmore.A casual comment from one of the singers lingered: “You write for singers like they’re horns!”  It is true that most of my compositional experience is with brass instruments.  This double brass quintet instrumental rendition of “Legacy of Valor” is indeed a much more musically gratifying composition.  It is the way it was supposed to be all along!Released in 2023 for the 76th birthday of the Air Force, this work and its message are appropriate for any patriotic event, including joint performances between any two brass quintets, civilian or military, American or global.  Many stirring meanings can be communicated and celebrated through “Legacy of Valor”!

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1458394 By Lawrence Welk. By Hal David and Henry Mancini. Arranged by Will Corbin. Pop. 16 pages. Will Corbin #1037370. Published by Will Corbin (A0.1458394). TUBA ALERT! Most recorded versions of this Henry Mancini classic hand the melody to flutes and piccolos. But baby elephants don't piccolo, they tuba. (This from actual personal experience.) So the heavy melodic lifting in this arrangement goes there. The song was featured in the 1962 latter-day John Wayne adventure romance comedy Hatari, a film from which its theme song is the only thing worth remembering. The song won Mancini a 1963 Grammy for best instrumental song. A 1962 recording by Lawrence Welk (!) reached No. 48 on Billboard's Hot 100. It was as hot as Welk ever got.If you need alternative instrumentation, I'm happy to help. Contact me at wilcor@aol.com.

Brass Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792338 Composed by Wolking, Henryenry. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jazz,Ragtime. Score and parts. 56 pages. Gordon Cherry #4804655. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792338). As an adult I occasionally try to remember and or capture child-like experiences-maybe not so much the actual event, but the emotive atmosphere left from impressions long ago embedded in the psyche. Each movement of this work is based on spontaneous and uncalculated musical imagery of dreams and childhood reflections. I have deliberately avoided the professional composer’s bag of developmental tricks and worked for a more free flow of simple melodic ideas: they go wherever they want.Movement IInspired by the feelings I had growing up on Merritt Island Florida with my older sister Barbara. This music was a gift to her on the occasion of her 2004 marriage in Flemington New Jersey. It was originally scored for a brass quartet with which I performed. I have written three other brass quintets, and when I started thinking about this one (my fourth) this seemed like a logical choice for a first movement.Movement IIBased on a tune that came to me in a dream. It is dedicated to my wife Lois (we also married in 2004) and has a formal title of Wake Up To A Melody. I originally scored it for jazz band-more specifically for the excellent Salt Lake Alternative Jazz Orchestra, and it has recently been recorded by that group. I like the simplicity of this melody, and felt it would make a natural second movement for this brass quintet.Movement IIIThe third and most difficult movement is Tangoragrondo. It is literally a rondo with a turn-of-the century (19th-20th) ragtime melody/gallop occupying the A theme followed by a Tango (inspired by trips to Santiago Chile) for the B theme. The return to the rag (A theme) is then followed by a fantasy development (C area) with a return to to the rag (A theme) followed by a coda that recalls material from the first movement. The form is quite simple- ABACA-Coda.The material was originally developed as a movement for my double concerto Letting Midnight Out On Bail written for the Duehlmeier-Gritton piano duo and orchestra. It was recorded by the Warsaw Philharmonic and has been released on CD. A second version for two pianos has also been recorded and released by the Duehlmeier-Gritton piano duo. This orchestration for brass quintet will be the final resting place for this chaotic rondo.
