Published by Will Corbin (A0.1457444). Laura Nyro wrote this song and sold it to Peter, Paul and Mary, who recorded their version before Nyro recorded hers, neither of which made much impact. But when Blood, Sweat & Tears released their version in 1968, it shot up to No. 2 on the singles chart, beaten for the top spot by the Beatles' Come Together/Something.So this arrangement is based on the BS&T version. It's for two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba. If you require alternative instrumentation, I'm happy to accommodate. Contact me at wilcor@aol.com.

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.554034 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Contemporary,Pop. 16 pages. RayThompsonMusic #6517979. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.554034). The Fool on the Hill is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1967 EP and album Magical Mystery Tour. It was written and sung by Paul McCartney and credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership. The lyrics describe the titular fool, a solitary figure who is not understood by others, but is actually wise. McCartney said the idea for the song was inspired by the Dutch design collective the Fool, who derived their name from the tarot card of the same name, and possibly by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The song's segment in the Magical Mystery Tour television film was shot separately from the rest of the film and without the other Beatles' knowledge. Accompanied by a professional cameraman, McCartney filmed the scene near Nice in France. In 1968, Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66 recorded a cover version of the song that reached the top ten in the US. By the late 1970s, The Fool on the Hill was one of McCartney's most widely recorded ballads. A solo demo and an outtake of the song were included on the Beatles' 1996 compilation album Anthology 2.Arranged for standard brass quintet, the melody is shared between both trumpetsInteresting parts for horn, trombone and tuba. The mp3 extract is of verse 2

RayThompsonMusic #860395. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1267848). Being for the Benefit of Mr.Kite arranged brass quintetBeing for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! is a song recorded by the English rock band the Beatles for their 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It was written and composed primarily by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. Most of the lyrics came from a 19th-century circus poster for Pablo Fanque's Circus Royal appearance at Rochdale. One of the most musically complex songs on Sgt. Pepper, it was recorded by the Beatles on 17 February 1967 with overdubs on 20 February (organ sound effects), 28 March (harmonica, organ, guitar), 29 March (more organ effects) and 31 March.John Lennon wanted the track to have a carnival atmosphere, and told producer George Martin that he wanted to smell the sawdust on the floor. In the middle eight bars, multiple recordings of fairground organs and calliope music were spliced together to attempt to satisfy this request.i have attempted to vary the sound with the use of muted trumpets. The 1st and last verses are given to trumpet 1, and verse 2 taken by the trombone. The mp3 is the end of the mddle 8 circus section, leading back in to the verseFun for every player:Enjoy.
