Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1318074 By Soundtrack. By James Horner. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Film/TV. 13 pages. Derek Hasted #906775. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1318074). ONE LAST WISH (from Casper)- Intermediate GUITAR DUETFor Classical Guitar - also suits Acoustic GuitarDerek Hasted writes A haunting melody (pardon the pun!) is interspersed with lush & uplifting phrases and exotic chromatic passages. It’s an unusual and delightful piece that makes a refreshing and unexpected concert item. There’s plenty of interest for both players, as the tune moves between the two guitarists.I’ve fingered some of the more complex chord shapes, mainly as an aide-memoire, because the key signature and the accidentals combine to make some of the chords hard to read - for example there are F major and F# minor arpeggios looking (at first sight) identical on the page. Some of the more complex chromatic movement is actually gloriously straightforward because of the way I’ve arranged the music to use shapes that slide down the neck. Here and there I’ve chosen enharmonic equivalents to make the music easier on the eye.I also have an arrangement for 3 guitars (or large ensemble) which is a little more straightforward - find it in the trios section of my website (below).I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.886889 Composed by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Arranged by Justin M. Ryan. Baroque,Contemporary. Score and parts. 9 pages. Justin M. Ryan #3015271. Published by Justin M. Ryan (A0.886889). Solfeggietto (H 220, Wq. 117: 2) is a short solo keyboard piece in C minor composed in 1766 by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. The work is unusual for a keyboard piece in that the main theme and some other passages are fully monophonic, i.e. only one note is played at a time. The piece is commonly assigned to piano students and appears in many anthologies; pedagogically it fosters the playing of an even sixteenth note rhythm by alternating hands. Now in the 21st century, this piece comes alive once again. Arranged for 2 guitars(Drop D Tuning), each guitar is playing the same piece in 2 different keys simultaneously(E Minor and B Minor). Enjoy this wonderful classic.

Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1317681 Composed by Public Domain. Arranged by Marcelo Borba. Christmas,Classical,Historic,Instructional,Traditional. 7 pages. Marcelo Borba #906359. Published by Marcelo Borba (A0.1317681). Work arranged for two Guitar. The First Noel is a traditional Christmas carol that tells the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. The word Noel itself is derived from the French word Noël, meaning Christmas or the Christmas season. The song is believed to have originated in the 16th or 17th century, and its exact authorship is unknown. It has been passed down through generations and has become a popular Christmas hymn. The lyrics of The First Noel typically describe the joyous announcement of the birth of Jesus by angels to shepherds in the fields. The shepherds are guided by a bright star to Bethlehem, where they find the baby Jesus lying in a manger. The lyrics emphasize the significance of the event and the adoration of the shepherds for the newborn Christ. Here are the first few lines of the song:The first Noel, the angels did say, Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay; In fields where they lay keeping their sheep, On a cold winter's night that was so deep. The song is often sung in a reverent and celebratory manner, capturing the spirit of Christmas and the joyous occasion of Jesus' birth. It has been recorded by numerous artists and is a staple in many Christmas carol collections.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Digital Download SKU: A0.946865 By Calum Scott. By Calum Scott, Corey Sanders, and Jon Maguire. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop. Score and parts. 31 pages. Derek Hasted #552624. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.946865). YOU ARE THE REASON (Calum Scott) - GUITAR DUETFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This haunting piece, with the most amazing “build and fade awayâ€, moves nicely from “voice and piano†to “guitar duetâ€. It will suit an intermediate duo. There are two versions in this one edition - they contain the same material. One version is tune and accompaniment, and is ideal for a Student/Teacher pairing, or a duo with an early intermediate and an intermediate player. The other version swaps roles halfway through, so the parts are both intermediate. I’ve made a significant change to the key here, but that allows the guitar to produce a haunting first verse where a stopped B and an open B ring through each other to generate a smoothness of accompaniment that is sublime and mimics the reverberant piano of the original. The arpeggio patterns here match closely those of the original piano too, giving verses 1 and 2 quite different texture. Sadly there is no orchestra and massed choir to build this version in the way that the original does, but the dynamics on the score tie in with the original song. The guitar parts here are in “score and tab†and in “score alone†- there is no difference in the music, but the tab may help notation readers see how the opening section sits on the neck of the guitar.I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

2 guitars - very easy - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q4857 Composed by Ferdinando Carulli. This edition: Sheet music. Guitar Archive. Downloadable. Op. 333/2. Schott Music - Digital #Q4857. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q4857). Ferdinando Carulli, geb. 1770 in Neapel, gest.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.540177 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Pedro Nunes. Baroque. Score and parts. 7 pages. Pedro Nunes #150317. Published by Pedro Nunes (A0.540177). The earliest known surviving manuscript of Alessandro Marcello’s Oboe concerto in D minor exists not as a score from the composer’s own hand, but as an arrangement for solo keyboard by contemporary J.S. Bach. This arrangement, dating from 1713-1714, is part of a collection of works entitled 16 Konzerte nach verschiedenen Meistern, BWV 972–987 (16 concerts according to different masters). It is Bach’s arrangement on which this duo version for guitar is heavily based. Bach discovered this concerto and other works by Italian masters while under the employment of Duke Wilhelm Ernst in Weimar.. The musical library of the ducal court was rich with orchestral works by Vivaldi, Corelli, Torelli, Frescobaldi and of course Marcello (both Benedetto and Alessandro). Bach saw this as an opportunity to learn about the Italian style, and proceeded to arrange sixteen of these concerti for solo harpsichord. Texturally, Bach would mimic the alternating tutti and solo sections by assigning them to different manuals of the harpsichord. Twenty years later, Bach would compose his own “Italian Concerto†BWV 971, for solo keyboard, which remains as one of his most recognizable works. The Marcello concerto is in typical 3 movement form: Andante e spiccato, Adagio, and Presto. For this arrangement, single-string fingerings of melodic passages were favoured for the first movement, for the sake of articulation and uniformity of the line. Also, the melodic material is passed between both guitars to achieve a more concertante setting and to enhance passages with repeated material. The second movement maintains a soloist/accompanist setting throughout. Although it was tempting to use both guitars to fill out the harmony of the opening and closing sections, the performance proved to be more effective with one guitarist able to solely concentrate on the famous melody. The final movement, like the first, divides the melodic material between both guitars in order to give both players interesting material and to give the first guitar a bit of breathing room.
