This Irving Berlin classic has been arranged in a Basie-esque swing style. Originally commissioned for the B. Reed Henderson High School Jazz Ensemble, it has since been adapted for Little Big Band. This chart is meant to really lay back, but dont be fooled. The harmonies are meant to sing, even quietly, so there should be some intensity behind every note, and don't be afraid to exaggerate what is on the page. Rhythms, articulations, dynamics, everything is fair game. It's a simple chart, but it is more than capable of packing a punch!
