Joseph Hasper #2059795. Published by Joseph Hasper (A0.734676). Jazz combo arrangement for Trumpet, Alto Sax, Trombone and Rhythm Section (Guitar, Piano, Bass, and Drums). It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) is a 1931 Duke Ellington composition now accepted as a jazz standard. The music was written and arranged by Ellington in August 1931 during intermissions at Chicago's Lincoln Tavern and was first recorded by Ellington and his orchestra on February 2, 1932. The song became famous, Ellington wrote, as the expression of a sentiment which prevailed among jazz musicians at the time. Probably the first song to use the phrase swing in the title, it introduced the term into everyday language and presaged the swing era by three years. The Ellington band played the song continually over the years and recorded it numerous times, most often with trumpeter Ray Nance as vocalist.

Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.796887 By Taylor Swift. By Johan Schuster, Max Martin, Shellback, and Taylor Swift. Arranged by Stephanie Daige. Pop. Score and parts. 23 pages. Stephanie Daige #3509519. Published by Stephanie Daige (A0.796887). Help your team to Shake Off a bad play or a bad call with Taylor Swift’s hit song Shake it Off. This arrangement is great for students to play at your school’s sporting events!  Students enjoy playing this fun song they know, and audiences enjoy hearing it. It is suitable for a middle or high school-level pep band, with several parts doubled for flexible instrumentation.  It is a great way to liven up your event with a recognizable tune.  The familiar key of Bb concert is comfortable for students.  This abbreviated version of the song is great to fill in a small gap of time allowed during a sporting event. It works fine without percussion, but feel free to ask a drum set player to play by ear if it helps keep your winds together. Duration is 1:15. Enjoy!Instrumentation is: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, and Bass Guitar.  I hope you will enjoy playing this piece as much as I have enjoyed arranging it! Please check out my other arrangements available on Sheet Music Plus.
