What Child Is This? is a Christmas carol whose lyrics were written by William Chatterton Dix, in 1865. At the time of composing the carol, Dix worked as an insurance company manager and had been struck by a severe illness. While recovering, he underwent a spiritual renewal that led him to write several hymns, including lyrics to this carol that was subsequently set to the tune of Greensleeves, a traditional English folk song.

In 1551 while residing in Antwerp, Susato composed a collection of sixty popular dances, La Danserye for a four-part instrumental group. Andrew Poirier has selected and deftly arranged eight of these Renaissance dances titled The Danserye Suite for 13-part Symphonic Brass Ensemble and Percussion for advanced performers:

Instrumentation is for: 4 Trumpets (incl. Piccolo & Flugelhorns), 4 Horns, 3 Trombones with opt. Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion (3 performers).

Mr. Poirier's arrangement is the first for this sized group and is dedicated to the Vancouver Brass Orchestra debut performance in 2019.

St. Louis Blues by W.C. Handy written in 1914. This arrangement has 9 instrumental parts. Flute 1, Flute 2 (or Oboe), Clarinet 1 (or Soprano Sax), Clarinet 2, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone and Baritone Saxophone, French Horn and Trombone (Flute 2 could be played by Oboe, and Clarinet 1 could be played by Soprano Sax).
